My experience fell far short of expectations. The food, unfortunately, did not meet the mark in terms of taste. Spice taste was definitely acceptable for us but it wasn't a 'good' spice taste for us in their shawarma, mandy rice, soup and their dipping.. some tasted blank and some over spice with nutmeg..
The service was subpar. Instead of 1 big menu at the cashier counter, it can be improvise to put each table with menu. it was okay to order at the counter but when all customer crowded at the counter to choose and order is a NO. Server seemed disinterested and inattentive, and it took an unusually long time to deliver a garlic sauce..
Pricewise? - Overpriced. Half quarter mandy rice for RM28 with a small chicken really unacceptable. And they charged RM4 for hot pudina tea but using BOH for arabic tea? also, a cup of ice priced RM1..
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience. I hope that the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration and works towards improving the quality of their dishes and service.
Can try but to repeat, No...
Read moreCame across this Arab restaurant in Putra Walk and fell in love with the cuisine (despite Arab food has always been one of my favs). Had my first ever fattoush meal and it was definitely what I needed. Found myself a closer branch in Bangi Avenue and I had been repeating my fattoush order for few times.
Yesterday I went to try out their lamb shawarma meal but after seeing the portion, it’s honestly a tad expensive (RM28) imo. It would have been better if they’re slightly generous with the lamb portion. The fattoush was also served in a smaller box (I usually had it in a brown box from both branches). I am still giving them a full star rating because the food were still giving! Definitely worth the try if you’re keen to incorporate Arab flavours into your palate. I personally recommend the lamb more than chicken because the spice on the lamb meat chicken.
The place is clean and the vibe is nice! There are plenty of tables for dine in. Waiting time is short too because they have many staffs and they take their...
Read moreThis was a pretty long journey from Kajang and perhaps my expectation was high after watching a positive video on their food on YouTube. My overall experience was however just average food with the following observations.
The meats were not well seasoned and tended to be bland and lacking in taste. The garlic sauce lacked the strong garlic flavour and was not well seasoned as well. Ditto for the spicy garlic sauce. The portions were reasonable for the price. The fries were properly seasoned but were of the thin stringy variety which I don’t particularly like.
Both the Arabic Shawarma Chicken and Arabic Shawarma Lamb were under-seasoned and somewhat flavourless. The addition of cheese in the Shawarma Lamb With Cheese did not help to increase the flavour, only adding some creaminess.
The Avocado With Honey was good and had bits of cashew in it. The Blended Chocolate Oreo however tasted of cheap chocolate and is best avoided. Drinks were overpriced...
