Had a birthday luncheon for my brother on the 13th September recently.
Food : (Steamboat & Grill) very tasty choices of meats and vegetables, my family especially enjoyed the muttons / daging kambing. So if you're a fan of muttons, this place should be in your consideration. The options of sauces were also plenty. There were sago gula melaka, fruits for desserts. Maybe wider options for drinks could be considered.
[Ala-carte] I used to dine in with Tom Yum, Kambing panggang / roasted muttons & steamed fish. The Tom Yum was really delicious to my palate, thick and savoury. The Steamed fish? Twas crunchy and nice to me. My mum (a fan of fishes) enjoyed it.
Service: very helpful, the manager in charge during the time assisted us with registration of membership and discounts (thank you!). Since it was my brother's birthday occassion and people weren't crowded, they helped with the celebration despite no prior booking. The staff was attentive enough to change our gas right when he noticed the portable stove ran out of it. If I'm not mistaken, here in Bangi Avenue: we can order from different shops along the lots and have it delivered to our place of dining.
Ambiance: this is our third (or fourth?) visit - there are two sides to the place, each to cater different crowd size and types of dishes you desire. We also came previously during crowded times, it's still a comfortable space to enjoy a meal and staffs were accommodating.
Overall, one of my top picks here in...
Read moreWe went for company dinner last night around 20pax, they assigned us to 3 table consist of 8 people/table and one stove. One small stove for 8 people its too cramp and time consuming to cook. Hot dish eg fried rice/noodles were cold. Others fresh goods are pretty much typical steamboat and grill.
BUT
The customer service are so out, very poor service. They dont make an effort to approach the customers to remind on the closing hour, by 9.30pm they started cleaning and clear out all the items including the drinks while the are still 5 active table still eating including ours.
We understood the operation hour will be end at 10pm but it doesnt hurt to approach the customer politely tell us that they are closing soon instead they just standing still and probably glaring at us. We were dumbfounded by the attitude when they were clearing out the tables. Like literally no communication poor service. AND my boss literally has to walk across the restaurant to find the server as the gas for the stove was finished. Like seriously?
Please RE-TRAIN your staffs to always walk around pickup the plates and clear some of the dishes on the customers tables, not just standing gathered at one corner expect customers have to walk around to find your staffs.
Please improve your...
