The mee tarik soup with braised beef was good. I love the noodles and you can ask them to make the soup spicy. Note that they're not so generous with meat or veggies which is a minus point but it's not too bad since it's the same with the pic in the menu. I can consider this as a nice comfort food esp if you love noodles.
But the rest of the dish is disappointing. All side dishes cost nearly RM20 even when it's just potato and beef for example. It's even more expensive than the noodle soup itself. My mum ordered rice with mutton and what came was NOTHING like the picture. There's PLENTY of boring looking onions (none in the picture), small shrivelled meat with a dull colour (not sliced nicely and in long portions like in the picture) and there's hardly any peppers like in the picture. If they had used the real pic on the menu I can bet NO ONE would order it. It also tastes a bit weird kinda like ayam kurma paste. There's zero effort in food presentation. The rice also arrive within like 5 mins no wonder it was so quick. Should have taken a picture but I guess you can try ordering it yourself and see.
If you want to be safe just order the original mee tarik in soup and not the improvised rice or noodles menu. Overpriced and I find that there's lots of room for improvements. I believe ppl would not hesitate to support their business if they had put in more effort on charging reasonable prices, on better food presentation & increasing quantity of...
Read moreThe taste of the mee is authentic and special. It is delicious. It just that you guys a little bit stingy on the beef. The beef is too little in the gravy. Another downside is that none of your staff can speak either Malay nor English languange very well. It makes me very difficuly to set specific orders snd ask questions. The final downpoint is that you guys don't have online payment such as using debit/credit card or by using ewallet such as Boost or touchngo which is so popular in this country nowadays. When i asked the counter lady (which is worse at both Malay and English language) she said "Only cash" and i was like "what??.... This is BB Bangi Seksyen 9 The Town Center and your price is super expensive but yet u guys don't have alternative payment other than cash??? Say What???...."
So there it is... I just smiled to the chinese counter lady and go back to my car asking if my wife carried cash and gladly she did... And i was like what are you guys like selling in a roadside stall or what?
The payment part is the most frustrating. I heard this restaurant is a popular restaurant. I've seen the same restaurant in Grand Indonesia in Jakarta.... but that probably belong to...
Read moreoverall, the food sucks. the hand pulled noodle was clumpy and dry. the brisket was overcooked. the "highlight" is the beef dumpling. 20 pcs of so-called "beef dumpling" worth RM18.90 was so not worth it. it tasted more like carrot dumpling. when we cut it open, the smell of carrot overtook everything else. the taste no need to say lah, tak rasa beef at all. literally rasa carrot. when we complained, the manager denied, katanya orang lain sebelum ni makan okay je, tak complain pun. sorry to say lah but when tak ada yang complain, tak bermakna benda tu sedap. i'm a foodie myself and i know what i eat, and that was definitely not even a decent beef dumpling. you can nilai sendiri from photos attached below. look at how orange those fillings are. the manager handled it very unprofessionally, siap buat muka. what happened eh? dulu so sedap, so good, now so...
