Moon Kee Fish Head & Seafood Noodle (Balakong) 满记鱼头米粉 — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

I’m a fan of Moon Kee in pj and have been frequenting for years. Even when the pj outlet swears the Cheras one is not theirs, having dined here, I can only assume it’s being continued by an apprentice, with waiters claiming it carried on the spirit and flavour of the pj outlet.

A week prior, I visited the pj outlet to discover they have lost their flavour, only to find the original Moon Kee taste existing here.

The flavour of the noodles is good, and the soup is delicious and 98% close to what I recall from the pj outlet.

Fish is crispy and automatically served separately - a sign that the chef has paid attention to the needs of patrons.

The sambal is different, spicy, oniony and vinegary, it’s a delight and welcome to the noodles.

Recent visit found few changes. The name is now New Moon Kee. Renovated to enclose all into air conditioned area, wall redecorated with better tiles, pictures of their famous sell outs and of course due to circumstances the prices.

Tasted as good as before.

We kind of like this place for a bowl of similar to fish head bihun. instead of normal fish, they use groupas.

The milky soup is nice, not the overpowering milk taste. There are 2 types of bihun, thick and thin bith are nice. You can choose from the type of soup other than milky - pork bone, curry and spicy. Dry noodles also available but most people come here for the milky...

Dropped by Moon Kee Fish Head & Seafood Noodle for lunch and it did not disappoint! Just the two of us, and we each had a bowl of their signature fish head noodle—and honestly, the pictures speak louder than words!

The soup was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly done (yummy, yummy!), and the fried fish paired with their homemade chili sauce? Simply yummy x3! Every bite was comforting and satisfying.

It’s the kind of place that hits the spot when you’re craving something warm, hearty, and full of flavor.
