I’ve been to this nostalgic cafe several times for lunch. It was originally an old residential house that later became this cafe after some renovations. It is highly visible as it is a corner lot residential house that is located just opposite KTM/MRT Kajang station along Jalan Bukit. Customers can easily park their vehicles at the designed parking lots around the cafe, it can fit around 10-15 cars. So it should not be difficult to park your car there.
There are approximately 13 tables available for seating including one outdoor seat which can fit two people. There is a long table which can fit a bigger group of people available. The overall environment is excellent, good air conditioning, good hygiene, waiters were pretty polite. It could become noisy and chaotic when there are people talking loudly.
I’ve tried their Pandan Rice with Curry Chicken and Ru Rou Rice which cost RM 15.90 and RM 13.90 respectively. It tasted just great, especially the Pandan Rice with Curry Chicken. I think that’s one of their signatures. It comes with a decent portion too, you may get filling easily. I’ve not yet tried their beverages, but what I usually order is the Tong Sui of the day, which could be different everyday. Basically, they serve quality and satisfying food and beverages. Please view images of the menu for more. Other than that, they serve homemade sliced cakes and Nyonya Kuih, which look very tempting!
In terms of pricing, personally, I think it is slightly expensive, maybe due to its rental cost and utility cost. Customers will have to pay another 10% of service charges, which is not included in the prices stated in the menu. However, until 31st December 2020, they are offering a 10% discount for a minimum purchase of RM 50, only available for dine in. You can redeem a piece of sliced cake for FREE if you’re having birthday on the current day OR three days before or after your birthday, but you MUST spend at least RM 50 in order to get yourself eligible for that.
Taste Moment Cafe is one of the F&B players who shows full support towards cashless society. Other than cash payment, they also accepted e-wallets. Among the e-wallets, TnG e-wallet, GrabPay, Maybank QRpay, Mcash, AliPay, Boost, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay are accepted.
This is undeniably a great place for coffee, breakfast, lunch, teatime, chit chat sessions. Will certainly visit again for its Nyonya Kuih and...
Read moreGood environment inside this cafe with all Chinese retro deco. The past couple of years feel came back when you having your break fast, lunch either dinner. The choice for the heavy food not much selection. In the others hand for the snack items are more. Drinks/beverage got selection. This outlet, for me was more to the heaving gathering with old friends or family member either for business chatting cos environment inside here good (just for having some snacks or drinks/beverage) For the parking side, quite not much convenient cos less parking space. Mostly, you have to parking outside or futher from this outlet if...

Pandan rice with fired chicken: chicken was so drier than the deserts, the sambal was good however they charged RM 3 for a small plate of rendang sauce, at least the rendang was amazing. 6 / 10
Braised pork rice: Flavor profile was one of the best I’ve eaten, very strong taste. 9 / 10
Yang Chou fried rice: Rice was wetter than expected, taste was flat and bland and worst is for the price there was no prawn or meat chunks. 2 / 10
Teh C: Foamy, rich tea. Not too sweet. 8 / 10
