It’s not an open kitchen, but the smell of cooking oil is really strong and completely overpowers the aroma of the coffee. I originally came here to have a conversation with a friend, but when I left, my clothes were covered in the smell of oil. I hope the owner can look into this and make some improvements. Also, there’s only one large air conditioner, and the space isn’t very cool—especially with a large floor-to-ceiling window that doesn’t have any sun protection film. When the sunlight comes through, it gets really stuffy and hot.

The kitchen is open, and the cooking smell was very unpleasant. One of the staff, a big guy, had sweat dripping onto my pasta, which was really gross. The food clearly wasn’t cooked properly in a pan but was just reheated. However, a hijabi girl served me very professionally with a delightful smile and was well dressed for her work. Read moreThe food is good. The espresso coffee is strong. I am a bit disappointed but primarily because of my own expectation. With the name like "The Coffee Lab", I was expecting for more variation in coffee drink. Since the espresso is quite strong, I kinda think their coffee would fit really well in some other variation of coffee such as cafe bombon or cortado or spanish latte...anything other than more cosmetic latte centric drink.
