The latest craze in town - Charcoal claypot mutton hotpot! Place is located next to highway and very inconvenient especially if you’re there for dinner at 5-6, so by the time you’re done you’ll be stuck in a jam going through the dreaded highway toll. (Speaking from experience)
Ordered claypot mutton, claypot chicken, mutton slice, tofupok, Chinese cabbage and pork dumpling.
Claypot mutton (small RM48) - there were like 8 pieces of mutton, fuchuk, mushroom and water chestnut. A tad too bland for me. Not enough oomph. They give you 1 tumbler of soup refill. The cap is very dirty (pic attached) 🤢
Claypot chicken (small RM38) - more flavorful than mutton for sure. Tumbler for refill provided. Can always ask for more. Liked their dipping sauce, fermented bean curd and also cili padi with soy sauce.
White rice (RM3.50)- this is exorbitant for plain white rice.
Raw Side dishes - nothing much to elaborate. Chuck it in the claypot and let it cook.
Place is without AC, can be hot. Parking is fairly easy. Manned by local Chinese and Burmese. Scan to order. Tables are made short so that they can fit the charcoal pot and claypot. Very uncomfortable as the table legs are too close to my knees.
Total RM140 for all of the above with 1 large mineral water.
I will be back during the winter season or any time that is...
Read moreThe uncle that explain the menu is very confusing. We ask for recommendation for 2 different pots since it’s our first time visiting. He keeps telling everything is nice, order all 4 pots, but theres only 4 of us. We ended up picking 2 large pots with free flow of pork and lamb slices within 1hr. Bear in mind free flow meat would need min spending or 39bucks per pax. Theres literally just soup and lamb in the pot, not a single veg, bean curd or any other stuff. The first round of meat slices came out very fast. However, the second round order, it took 30mins to serve. For the 1hr time, we only manage to get 2 rounds of order. Taste wise, it’s extremely salty. We have to ask kitchen to serve hot water to dilute the salty soup. Definitely wont visit the shop again. And i doubt the legitimate of the...
Read morePumpkin 🎃 Charcoal Lamb Hot Pot very very flavourful. I didn't feel thirsty at all after eating. The seaweed tomato Tauhu soup reminded me of my granny's soup. Service was good. Staff very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Good for friends and family to come here for a nice Charcoal Hot pot meal. Price is very reasonable. 5 person food and drinks was only RM200. The Ice Blended Coconut shake and Mango Shake was very nice and most importantly not sweet, which we like. Pretty great for...
