Very very good yong tau foo, in fact the best that I've had so far! Really loved the fish paste that they use as the texture is really bouncy and very well seasoned. I tried over 10 different items and just loved all of them. There are around 50 kinds of yong liew with lots of unique ones such as century egg, bacon, seaweed, enoki mushroom, Coriander & chilli fish paste, etc. Honestly can't single out any favourite item as they were all good!
Parking may be difficult to get in the area.
Everything made fresh on the spot so the wait time could be long if they are running on full house. I arrived as the 2nd customer in the morning (11.10am) and my takeaway order preparation took around 15 to 20 minutes. Prices are reasonable considering the size of fish paste used in each item.
Service was friendly. There is a fruit stall at the front selling Guava, papaya and banana which seems to be doing brisk business. Bought some Guava but have yet to try them so can't comment on that for now.
Place was not air-conditioned but it was clean and comfortable. Accepts cash and...
Read moreThe place is clean as expected for an indoor restaurant which has clean tables and floors. Service was ok. I will have to dismiss the fact of the so called delayed for the food arrival. It was rather quick as they managed to serve the soup Yong Tau fu dishes under 15 minutes. I have my fair share of Yong Tau fu other than this place and this Yong Tau fu was a bit of a let down as the flavour are far from the comparison with its competitors such as some famous Yong Tau Fu places like Foong Foong Yong Tau foo, Ampang, or Yong tau fu also known as (Yong Liew) from Pasar Pinji 4, Ipoh, Perak. The price wasn't cheap either as the total price for what we order cost us around RM40 ringgit which in comparison to the famous Foong Foong Yong Tau fu is not as reasonable as their differences in flavour is a vast gap. All in all, the food is average, and mostly, it is the people who know the owner that are regular patrons of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I won't be recommending this to anyone who seeks to have the best Yong Tau fu as this is not the best one or...
Read moreFirst of, if you’re banana, be prepared to match chinese character, which i did 😅. But the lady boss is attentive, you can get her to write for you if wanted. (The menu is bilingual, but the ordering sheet is in chinese.)
You can walk to the end, pick & choose your ingredients, or you can choose to order from menu. There are some items not displayed, and can be ordered from menu.
The stuffing is generous, ingredients are fresh. Soup taste natural, don’t think it contains MSG.
Most items are priced around RM1.80, cheap by todays standards…
