I've been here since there was some online posting that its no longer an omakase restaurant.
You now can order what you want from the digital menu. Scan the QR code thingy. The ppl who are the working there were very kind and helpful and you can ask them if you are abit confused on how this works. But mind you, they speak with an accent, but helpful even when you have difficulty understanding at first.
Now here is a place where you need to abandon all your notion of portion from other sushi place. If you like cute small pieces of sushi and sashimi to feed your IG, this is the place. The portions meets with the price given, so no complaints there. You will also notice small details like how the rice is lesser then the size of the fish on your sushi. So you don't get stuff on just rice. The cuts are good, taste of the sashimi is great. I didn't need to use soy sauce at all, that's how good. Just a small stroke of their delicious wasabi is all it takes.
Even with all that freshness, I still feel that their fried stuff is better, chiken dumpling, ebi, goyza all top notch. But again.. Don't be surprised of the cute size.
Nice ambience, clean, nice temperature, clean toilet ( unisex). Definitely will go again.
They have a private room, but only available, when it's available.
All in all great place to bring a date.(Or to feed your...
Read moreI totally understand why Tsukiji SushiBar has such a high rating; everything about this place was excellent. From the ambience to the quality of the food and even the pricing, it hits all the right notes.
The space is cozy and calm, making it a perfect spot for a quiet dine-in experience. I went around 11:30 AM, and it was nice and peaceful. By the time I left, it had already filled up with the lunch crowd, which says a lot about how popular this place is with regulars.
The menu is surprisingly affordable, especially considering how fresh and well-prepared everything was. I had the salmon, and it was beautifully done; fresh, and sliced to perfection. You can tell they prepare everything on the spot with care.
A nice moment: as I walked in, there was a lady at the counter placing a takeaway order who turned to say she loved the food so much, and that was even before I sat down. It was such a comforting way to start the meal and honestly, she was right.
If you’re looking for a place that serves high-quality Japanese food without breaking the bank, Tsukiji SushiBar is definitely worth checking out. I’ll absolutely be...
Read moreIf I can give negative stars for your service, I would. Got told by one of the waitress that they don’t accept reservations and it’s only walk-in (first come first serve basis), which was fine and we have no problems waiting. We were the first ones waiting on the side before another group of 3 arrive after us. We waited over 30 minutes for our table only to be hit by a surprise that the next available table is not for us, but the group that arrived after us. 🙃Apparently they were friends of the boss and claimed they made a reservation, hence they got special treatment to skip the queue on a busy Saturday. So can I be your friend too?
If your rules say ‘no reservations and only first come first serve’, then shouldn’t this be applied to every customer? Because I don’t see how this is fair that certain people can skip the queue while the rest has been patiently waiting for their turn. Poor management, poor planning. The same waitress also got pretty defensive/argumentative when we tried to ask for an explanation of the situation. Hmm, A+ for that good...
