OhanaJo is one of those rare spaces that feels like a sanctuary the moment you walk in. I’ve now been to both their Sunway SPK Damansara and Plaza Arkadia outlets, and each offered a different but equally enriching experience. The Sunway SPK outlet had a truly stunning and homey vibe; perfect for deep reflection. I remember it being on the pricier side before, but honestly, the value you get from the space and the sessions makes it absolutely worth it. This time, I visited their Plaza Arkadia location. While the studio there was more minimal compared to the house in SPK, the atmosphere was still calming, welcoming, and beautifully held. It’s a safe space that allows you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. I attended the "Manifesting Your Dreams with Inner Healing and Sound" class by Amber, and it was a 90-minute journey that flowed so seamlessly, it felt like time disappeared. The class was thoughtfully guided, with deep questions, healing sound vibrations, and space to connect inwardly. If anything, I wished there was more time to sit with the reflections and let the sounds sink deeper. But that’s also the beauty of it; it leaves you wanting more, while gently reminding you to trust the process. As someone who meditates often at home, I deeply appreciate the shift that comes with a guided group experience like this. The energy, the intention, and the facilitation make it incredibly powerful. They also have some great promos going on, so it’s a good time to check them out if you’ve been curious. I’ll definitely be returning again, this place has a way of pulling you back when your soul needs a reset.

Bought a random incense off the shelves on my last visit to Ohanajo as I was also purchasing a yoga mat and I thought to stock up a bit of stuff - I was told this was a new incense they had just brought in so excited to try it - lI lit this incense to begin what I thought would be just another Yin session at home, slow, quiet, grounding. What unfolded was a full-body, soul-level ceremony. The moment the smoke curled up, it smelled ancient. Like memory. Like soil. Like something older than me reaching out through time. It wasn’t just scent but it was invocation. The blend didn’t just burn, it opened. As it wafted through the room, I entered a portal of primal release: moaning, huffing, trembling, crying. Parts of me I hadn’t accessed in years or ever 🫠🥲 came forward. The smoke seemed to hold space for it all, softening the edges of pain and turning it into power. I ended that session changed. And when I asked my cards what had just happened, the answer was loud and clear: a new day, forgiveness, spirit, and divine balance. I don’t just recommend this incense. I bow to it. If you’re looking for something to accompany your shadow work, shamanic journeys, deep Yin, or any inner temple rituals , Holy Smoke is more than scent. It’s a sacred ally.

I was a student first before I became a teacher here. OhanaJo truly changed my life. It gave me a home and a soul tribe who always makes me feel like home-er than home. As an expat, I am truly grateful for this space. If you are looking for a sound healing space with gongs (full body healing), sound bowls, and other ancient healing instruments - they have it here. They also have heart-based and highly intuitive teachers and healers in this place. I personally love attending Ashlynn's HATHA classes. I enjoy going there to sleep yoga by either Jojo or Savy too. Art Therapy by Lemon & Salaf is highly recommended. Inner Child classes & Breathwork workshops by Michael Lim are seriously fun. Oh, also do try experiencing Ho'opponopono workshops! Brought my mom and sister once and we had so much healing that day! Note: Every person's encounter will be different. If some sounds during a sound bath cause some discomfort or agitation, I recommend going for a 2nd session to see how your body may have possibly opened and changed to receive the healing frequencies.

This yoga studio is truly a remarkable place for practicing yoga, offering a holistic approach that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to foster a sense of overall well-being. Lately, I've been feeling quite anxious and stressed, but through the practice of yoga, I have found a wonderful release that leaves me feeling both relaxed and revitalized.

The instructors, Miss Amber and Miss Sasha, were exceptionally supportive and attentive, making sure to guide me through the exercises patiently as I navigate my journey as a beginner. Their expertise shone through as they provided personalized tips and encouragement, making the experience so much more enjoyable. Both of them have provided me with a safe space and mind to perform yoga in a gentle, fun and authentic way. This has helped me with my breathing work and self sooting and enabled me to learn how to quiten my mind through the connection of my breath and my body, and experience the moments stillness while making friends with my body. Additionally, Ms. Jocelyn, Suchi, and Shalini were there to answer all my questions and offer further guidance, which truly helped alleviate my initial apprehensions about joining a class for the first time.

The studio itself exudes a serene and inviting atmosphere, creating a perfect environment for concentration and relaxation. The calming scent of essential oils wafting through the air adds to the ambiance, making the space feel even...

After having lived with and taken care of my parents for almost half a year due to health issues, now that they are getting better and increasingly able to do everything on their own, I set out the intention of taking care of myself and healing myself.

Not surprisingly I was led to OhanaJo (nothing is ever coincidental).

Since mid April I have been attending meditation and sound healing classes about once every fortnight, in addition to everything else I was doing. Gratefully, I was getting better and better day by day.

And because of the nature of the classes, I was able to be mindful and attentive to everything that was happening to me. Each class has been awesome, perfectly suited to each stage of my improving well-being, healing; embracing change and a new direction in my life.

The metamorphosis of caterpillar going into a cocoon, transforming into a butterfly and flying into the sky truly describes the past two months. I am super grateful for the gift of the teachers at OhanaJo. Truly I felt a sense of community.

Deep gratitude, Neshama

Classes that I attended: 15 Apr - Ho’oponopono with Amber 2 May - Deep Sleep meditation with JoJo Struys 13 May - Art Therapy and Oracle Cards with Lemon and Salaf 15 May - Healing Through Breath-works and Sound Bath with Michael Lim 22 May - Inner Tranquility Meditation with Mindy Choo 24 May - Essential Oils and Sound Healing...
