Hidden away from the famous bigger brands in down town KL is this unique cafe in Cheras. Attracted by their vibrant & oh so cute latte art, we decided to drop by & boy was our Leica in for a treat!
Salted Egg Bacon Pasta (RM 20)
Taste: Even before the beautifully plated dish hit the table, the mouth watering aroma of the salted egg hit us like a bus. The slices of bacon in the dish were cooked nicely & not over done giving it a nice texture. However, putting the salted egg & bacon together on the same dish did not exactly go hand in glove as the end result was a little salty & you might find it a little overpowering if you intend to finish the dish yourself.
Fried Chicken Pandan Set (RM 34.90)
Taste: This dish seemed to a Nasi Lemak with a twist. In a good way though. The rice was nice & fragrant topped with an egg which was fried to perfection. Loved how firm the yoke was! The chicken was nice & crispy on the outside & juicy within. Really nicely put together.
Earl Grey Milcrepe
Taste: Had a really nice texture to it but was taken straight out of the fridge so was a little cold & hard. A little rich for comfort but would be perfect for sharing.
Hazelnut Latte (RM 11)
Taste: It took about 40 mins to arrive but to be fair, we were forewarned upon placing the oder which was all good with us. Turns out, it was simply too pretty to drink! We absolutely loved the vibrant colours & adored the attention paid to detail. Instagrammable & tasty!
All in all, a pretty decent meal with really pretty latte art!

Read moreStarting off with the food we ordered : Mushroom pesto, pan-seared salmon with lemon cheese sauce (i think), pumpkin risotto with chicken, and strawberry passion fruit tea. All the food we ordered basically taste good and flavorful. The pesto is rich, the salmon was awesome thanks to the sauce which was super appetizing and the pumpkin risotto was surprisingly good cause I was definitely skeptical about the combination. See, I am not a fan of pumpkin but this dish was savoury so it din bother that much. And the chicken breast was also tender.
The food is reasonably price with a good portion which is a plus point and you have vegetarian options too.
I like how the place is bright and neat. A pretty suitable space for gathering and work because wifi is provided. Was there for dinner with some crowds so it wasn't super quiet, can't tell if it would be more quiet in the morning if you prefer a more quiet working space.
But one thing is that I think parking would be a problem during daytime looking at the availability of it but I think nothing is impossible. Night time parking spots are in abundance but that row right in front of the shop fills up very quickly and the parking behind or beside the building can be quite dark so I suggest you be...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting Bookmark Coffee in the new shop lots. They just moved to a bigger and spacious unit at centre point medan connaught. While previously when they at the old shoplot, I have visited a several time where my friend and I like their unique theme where they are able to make the latte art upon client's request. For example, if you would like to make a "Hello Kitty" latte art, they are able to make it to you. Furthermore, if you are requesting to make "yourself" (yes yourself) as the latte art, they would be able to make it for you too! By just sending them your picture to their whatsapp then they will take their effort to make it. Other than the drinks (caffeine and non caffeine options) they also serve food and cakes here. If you happen to come to Cheras and would love to try out something special, do not hesitate to drop by at bookmark coffee which is at the second floor of the centre point medan connaught (a new building in cheras area). *One thing might need to consider because it took time to make the latte art, the drink might not be that hot but overall it was a...
