Arriving at the restaurant, you will notice a very spacious parking in front of its restaurant , however the guards mentioned to not park there as they are reserved parking. So guests are suggested to head to level 2 indoor parking. subsequent you will need to descend a 2 level stairs to head to the restaurant. Have yet to see access suitable for those less abled body (lifts).
The restaurant has a good ambience and is very clean. Staffs are pretty polite and friendly (yet to meet the bad service staff mentioned in other reviews).
Menu are as per the restaurant info. They have a lot of variety of vegetarian food for Vege fans (those on vegetable diet). They also serve a variety of no egg cakes. 👍🏻👍🏻 It is after all a healthy option.
As this is a self service restaurant, you will be required to order at counter.
My overall experienced here was mind blowing. However I was disappointed as the first (5) few food I opted for was out. I mean, I tried ordering pizza - out, mash potatoes - out, Thai spaghetti - out, pancake - out, asked what's available, ordered another type of pizza - out... I just gave up 😅😅. & They asked anything else you'd like? I mean, Hello, how to order when I might end up with an out option? There were table number, but food was delivered wrongly. Lastly as for the taste, I would think it could be better. Just so you know, I ended up with Vege burger and pesto. I don't like the knife on burger presentation... Overall, tasted better, I would say that there's definitely rooms for improvement!
Let's hope the next trip will be better and I'll give you guys an update...
Read moreQuite a variety of food they have here. Nasi padang caught my eyes, so went with it. Replaced white rice with Coconut Rice, however the flavors of coconut rice didn't come through for me.
Rest of the nasi padang was very delicious. Added hard boiled egg, which was sliced in round, talk about detailing. It was both appeasing to the eyes as well as easy to eat.
Rendang was full of flavors, what I would expect of a typical rendang, just that the rendang sauce was just not enough for me.
Asked for extra serving of sambal , which for me is required for the amount of rice. The acar was good, but I had ordered another serving of acar anyway.
The acidity in the acar cut other flavors to clear your palette so that you can experience the flavors of the nasi padang all over again.
Paired my meal with Lemongrass Ginger tea. Very refreshing and I believe it's good for digestion too.
Overall a worthwhile experience for the 40 mins drive from home. Will definitely be back to savor every dish they have.
There was some kind of yellow dressing on the salad. Looked like nothing, but the flavors delivered. I wanted to have more salad just for...
Read moreMy wife and I enjoy vegetarian food so much and since we just moved in in Cheras, we found this restaurant and gave it a try.
We love the the meals we ordered. Thai pasta was awesome. A bit taste of hotness of the chilli and basil made us feel like we’re in Thailand Vegan tofu burger was incredible. The balance of the tofu, special sauce and vegetables and even the bread were top notch Nutty salad was yum. Amazing combination of colors from red dragon fruit, fresh salad, crunchy nutty and slight drop of citrus made the food very presentable on table, beautiful and perfect taste as it looked on the bowl Red dates ginger drink was pleasing and aromatic, a sip will quench your thirst Pandan water was refreshing and fragrant, it cleansed our pallet after meal After-meal waffle just a perfect exquisite dessert after a heavy meal. A bit sweet from the vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, but that is what a dessert is
Thank you Vegelab for such wonderful meals we had. We will definitely return to try...
