Restaurant Kim Kee Chicken Rice 金记 — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Been eating this chicken rice a few years ago. First time stepping into this restaurant after they moved in from the stall five years ago.

I quite liked their soup of the day previously. But this time I feel like the taste is a bit different. Their grilled chicken was also quite crispy last time but currently, the taste and crispiness changed.

Anyhow their char Siew still the BEST! Must try their char Siew. Melted into your mouth. Tasty and all my kids love it. We take away two packs char Siew for family members. They keep asking where we bought it. Definitely will return for...

YOU BEEN WARNED! If you come with more than 1 person, you might get charged over price easily. Lady owner will keep recommend you extra is ok, but she will discreetly charge extra 1 ringgit or two here and there. If she is bold enough extra RM5 or RM10 if your not attentive enough to check the bill. I ate her food since young, till today haven't change her overpriced mentality.

Food is good, but nearby got so many similar chicken rice almost as good or better.

So beware if your here. Make sure you check the bill or ask for price, or not Lady boss will chop you like...

Family owned business. The husband (owner and main cook) is the person who chops the meat while the wife helps out together with a few helpers.

They have a humble beginning about 2 decades ago at a DBKL hawker shack across the street before the shack was reclaimed for SUKE highway (construction still ongoing).
