I recently visited your cafe and wanted to share my concerns regarding the establishment's environment, which I found to be not very Muslim-friendly. During my visit, I noticed that dogs were allowed in this café. As a practicing Muslim, I was uncomfortable, as dogs are considered impure in Islamic tradition. This made my dining experience rather unpleasant and uneasy. In many Muslim countries, restaurants and cafés take special care to accommodate the beliefs of their patrons, often designating specific areas where pets are not allowed or implementing a strict no-pet policy. This approach demonstrates respect and consideration for the diverse community they serve. However, my experience at your cafe felt quite the opposite. There was no indication of a pet-free zone, leading to an environment that felt unwelcoming for Muslim customers. If have surely I will not enter. I genuinely believe that cafés and restaurants should strive to create inclusive spaces for all patrons. By allowing dogs inside the dining area, your cafe may unintentionally alienate a significant portion of the community who wishes to enjoy their meals without discomfort. I hope that management will reconsider their pet policy and take steps to create a more inclusive environment that welcomes everyone, regardless of their beliefs. Until then, I may have to reconsider my visits...
Read moreFirst time going to a coffee place that did not have any notice that the drink contains sugar. Your “cool cube” coffee drink has a decent explanation about the Colombian beans and smooth milk but failed to inform that it contains sugar. Leaving out the war against sugar, it was way too sweet for my liking. When I asked the first staff if it was labeled in the description that it contains sugar, he confirmed yes. Then I checked again, it clearly didn’t. Told the second staff about it, he said the ice cubes has sugar in it cause otherwise “no point”. And when I told him I can’t drink it, he simply smiled and said sorry. Left almost immediately and the 3rd staff saw me leaving, instantly checked if I touched my drink (which I didn’t). She opened the door for me and said thank you for coming. I think all 3 of your staff were clear that I wasted my money and would probably never come back, but none of them even tried to do...
Read moreCoffee Stain has been there forever ever since I first come to Publika. It is safe to say that it's THE default cafe to go to get my caffeine fix. They have refurbished and renovated the premise since, and it is now more contemporary and definitely cosier to spend an hour or two sipping coffee.
◾Lemon loaf slice RM13.00 - gotta love how the lemon frosting balance the sweet and moist pound cake. ◾Carrot loaf slice RM13.00 contains fair share of carrot and walnut ◾Coffee - when I didn't feel like drinking a lot of coffee, I'd go for Piccolo latte. Otherwise a full sized flat white would provide me enough caffeine.
Coffee prices start at RM9 for espresso, RM12 for long black and RM13 for flat white - making it slightly on the high side. I could get 2 cups of long black from my favourite neighbourhood cafe near my house at this price. But then this is Publika, a high end place...
