I'm not the best person to review French cuisine as I don't eat that much French food but what I had here, tastes exactly as what I experienced in Nice, Marseille and Cannes when I visited South of France many years ago. It brought back memories.
The escargot was without shell and done perfectly. Great for those who has issues with clamping the shell while digging the mollusc out.
Boeuf Bourguignon was the reason I went there. Traditional recipe requires red wine reduced for several hours in the oven to let the beef soak all the juices. Here they don't use wine thus giving the opportunity to those who can't take wine to taste this French dish.
The poulet ā la Moutarde was pretty good. Served with rice, the chicken was very juicy, slightly creamy and taste was well balanced.
To me, French excels in dessert and it shows in their Crème Brulèe. It was simply addictive cracking the burnt sugar shell and digging in small bites to savour the richness of the dessert without it being overwhelming.
The macaron were exquisite as well and they don't serve it plain but sandwiched whipped cream and strawberry jam. Paired with cafè latte, it was the perfect finish.
I will definitely come again to savour the many duck dishes and of course, foie gras.
Ambience was very cosy. Great for couples and small groups and the decor was quite French with French oldies playing throughout the night. Try and find the famous inspector who solved the murder mystery on the train somewhere on the wall. Until my next visit there,...

Our inaugural experience with French cuisine was nothing short of spectacular, and it was made even more special by the occasion we were celebrating. From the moment we arrived, Chef Firmin Rieu welcomed us with warmth and hospitality, taking the time to explain the intricate preparation of each dish. This thoughtful touch heightened our anticipation for the exquisite journey of dégustation and discovery that lay ahead.
After perusing the menu, we decided on a delightful set for two, plus a festive Christmas menu, as well as the irresistible Chicken Cordon Bleu. Our first taste of Steak Tartare was a revelation – a delicate balance of flavors that exceeded all expectations. We also highly recommend the Escargots, a true French delicacy that is not to be missed. To end our meal on a sweet note, the Dame Blanche dessert was simply divine, a perfect finale to an unforgettable and unique experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant was equally enchanting, with its thoughtfully curated décor and soft lighting creating a serene atmosphere that invites relaxation. There are plenty of Instagram-worthy spots to capture the essence of the space, and you’ll quickly feel as though time slows down, allowing you to fully absorb the ambiance.
The attentive and instinctive waitstaff added to the overall experience. Their keen awareness of our needs, without being intrusive, ensured that we felt taken care of...
Read moreWent there for Father's day thinking for a nice treat, and ended up with disappointment.
I have been to France a couple of times and I know what I should be expecting, and almost everything wasn't as expected.
Almost every restaurant I went in Paris served bread before or when the main meal is served, but there is no bread served here.
Lobster Ravioli portion is laughable at RM110 - sure I ordered it as part of a 2-person set, but still 3 pieces of ravioli is just outrageous. Taste wise, my wife echo another comment which is a little lack of taste, but sure, we can add more salt and pepper to 'enhance' it.
Also ordered Salmon dish for my 4yo and I have emphasized that it should be fully cooked, but ended up it's still not exactly fully cooked and I need to ask them to heat it up until it is fully cooked.
Filet mignon is fine, but really just OK - the side dishes are just some mash potato, which was again surprising. Of course I don't expect an American style of side dishes in a French Restaurant, but I was slightly disappointed.
Creme brulee was actually pretty good, but at that point I am already very disappointed, especially with the thinking to celebrate father's day there with my family.
Maybe it's just me, but yeah, I won't be back again - it's a pity because I do want to find a good french restaurant for...
