''Superfluous'' is a cafe that opens from 8am to 5pm by day but after 6pm is transformed to a friendly bar called ''Conti'' and it is located in the peaceful neiborhood of Tama Desa since last April.

The ambience of the place is clean and minimalist, featuring captivating Nipon designs and cool posters that catch the eye. The lighting is also carefully selected to create an interesting atmosphere around the tables.

Actually, this spot reminds me of the friendly and unpretentious bars I have encountered on recent trips to Osaka and Taipei. It has a welcome vibe and the staff is really warm and accommodating.

Operating from 6pm to midnight, 'CONTI" offers a range of cocktails including a classic and innovative choice, along with mocktails, gin & tonics and sourdough pizzas.

I had the pleasure of trying some of the cocktails, and I must say, they were exceptionally creative and really outstanding. The pizzas, especially the spiced lamb and the classic margarita were simply delightful.

Some standout cocktails that caught my attention were the old negroni, clarity, and the jungle bird.

He greeted us with a warm smile, took the time to ask about our taste preferences, and then guided us through their menu with vivid, engaging descriptions. When I mentioned I prefer something balanced and not overly sweet, he suggested a drink that combined subtle herbal notes with a refreshing hint of citrus—it was exactly what I needed.

Tucked away in the surburbs of Taman Desa is this quaint little bar. It is a cafe by day and is transformed into a bar after 6pm. I have read favourable things about them in social media but have not decided to pop by anytime soon. That is until I learned that they are serving moutai latte. Although I am not a big fan of moutai (I find it to be too pungent), I am quite curious about the current rage in China I.e. the moutai latte where the batista prepare a normal latte which is then infused with moutai. I was determined to try it out and that is the story of how I came by this little bar in the suburbs. Well, the moutai latte was delicious and I immediately shared it with my colleagues.
