US PIZZA - Taman Connaught, Cheras — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Most people prolly would have heard bout this famous US Pizza chain. I think they’re most famous for their Cheese Boat Pizza.

I went to this outlet during Ramadan for Iftar. It was very convenient as the place allow customers to make a reservations before coming in. We ordered a few days back too so that we wouldn’t have to wait for a longer time for our pizza.

This outlet was not very spacious but it’s quite comfy and separated between tables. The decor does have their signature interior decor vibe to it (neon light, us wallpaper etc) altho i think its not as decorated as their other outlets.

The staffs for me are very friendly and helpful. They’re quite attentive to our needs during our dine in session.

So for the main star which is the Pizza. We ordered quite a lot of pizza and they arrived at our tables hot which is a good sign. Their pizza for me was just okey, not that packed with flavours as you would get from the common PizzaHut/Dominos. Still an enjoyable and perfectly portioned pizza. Their most famous pizza, the Cheese Boat Pizza for me is a flop. While the Cheese Tarik thing was interesting, the taste is just mehh plus i don’t really know how to cut and eat the pizza. So it’s definitely not my fav there and I wouldn’t try that pizza again.

Overall i think i would come again maybe to a different outlet just to compare the quality and try other flavours...

Dine in, at 1.30pm, no one. Spent Rm50 for 2 regular pizza

Things i like: service was good! Staff friendly and gave recommendations as well generous with garnish (parmesan cheese, chili flake, pepper, tabasco sauce). Can bungkus the garnish some more, even the cheese. chili flake, minimal seeds!! Maybe like 5% is seed. The rest is the skin, which is aaamaazinggg

Things i dislike: they charge you extra for thin crust, which is ridiculous. Less dough but higher price? Don't make sense low quality button mushrooms, the kind from the can soaking in liquid. Not the fresh kind. I'm ok if your pizza is cheap, but its not. Domino price is lower but uses better ingredient.

Overall still thinks Domino is better, would i come back again? Maaaaybeeee, but def not...

This is the third branch I've visited to dine in, but I couldn't. The first one in Ampang had no parking and numerous problems: the signboard wasn't working, and the branch had a bad smell. When I asked the staff, they said they were trying to resolve the issues soon.

Then I went to the Pandan Indah branch, but was told my order would take 45 minutes to be ready. I thanked them and left for another branch.

Finally, I went to the Cheras branch at 9:30 PM, only to be told they were already closed, even though Google listed their closing time as 10:30 PM. The staff apologized and said the information on Google was incorrect.

Unfortunately, I haven't tasted the US pizza, and I don't know when the next visit...
