Dear Damacus Setapak Management Team,

I would like to bring to your attention a recurring issue I have experienced at your order counter recently. Two newly hired Malay staff members, who are often seen wearing heavy makeup and frequently using their phones during working hours, have repeatedly taken orders incorrectly, even after reconfirming them with customers.

This is not the first time I’ve encountered such problems. During my recent visit, my order was once again recorded wrongly. When I raised my concern, the staff in question shifted the blame to another colleague who prepared the food. I find this unacceptable, especially when most of your foreign staff are familiar with me and my usual orders. It was clear to me that she had failed to convey the correct instructions.

After returning home, I noticed that what I received was not what I ordered. I had to return just to clarify the issue, not because I wanted to cause a scene, but because if I didn’t raise it, I feared the same mistakes would continue to me and other customers.

What disappointed me most was the attitude of the staff. Instead of offering a basic apology or acknowledging the mistake, she responded with a scowl, which to me reflects poor hiring or lack of proper customer service training. Shockingly, her colleague, who wasn’t even involved, also gave me a scowling look, as though I was the one at fault.

Thankfully, another staff member eventually stepped in to handle the situation professionally. However, the initial experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

Customer-facing roles require fundamental values such as attentiveness, accountability, and empathy. Unfortunately, the staff involved showed none of these. I strongly urge the management to take serious disciplinary action where necessary.

Can't get rid of the taste! It soo good, even tho it past 2y ago that my 1st time me & my husband taste it, that time.. they just opening, they offer me tester bite.. suddenly after i finished shopped, i straightly went to Damascus! 🤣Omg.. that the best shawarma ever that i ever had in my life! Honestly, I enjoyed the food here. The shawarma are all compact with a good amount of sauce, allowing for a good mix of meat and sauce. When I'm not feeling bread...I get their mandi rice, it comes with garlic sauce and some soup which I enjoy putting over the rice giving it so much more flavour!
