As a regular customer in this restaurant since opening, I extremely recommend everyone who live near the Seputeh area to try out their dishes!
Firstly, the food especially seafood and fish are highly recommended, they serve very fresh fishes and lala, and the lala soup is superior. Other than seafood, you can try the Pai Guat Wong (sweet and sour pork) as the taste is extraordinary.
Secondly, if you are afraid of full house, you can just call their manager to make a reservation in advanced, especially for those public holiday, weekend and special day. They have also VIP Room for 1 group of customer that can fit up to 15-20 person.
Thirdly, the service is extremely good, their waiter is well-trained and able to elaborate well about their dishes, and they make sure how much the portion u can finish and full. They also speak Chinese English and Malay, so there will be no issue in communication.
Fourthly, the price of the food is not extremely high but affordable, a table of 4 person will just need apprx RM200 to have seafood, meat, soup.. etc.. The price is very reasonable and their ingredients are fresh.
Fifthly, the atmosphere here is comfy, have aircond room, clean toilet, washstand, and the workers attitude and service is very good and prompt.
Lastly, the most important thing is the parking spaces. They have a lot of parking lots near the restaurant, and the parking fees is not high, if you eat 2 hours,...
Read morethru google search we found this restaurant. after read the reviews our verdict was food should be good but service is bad. we jokingly said we go there just to see how bad is the service. upon reaching the restaurant, the people inside the restaurant voluntarily came out to remove the cone for the designated parking of the restaurant for us. 1st impression is good for the service. then we were asked whether reservation is made, but luckily we were early so there was vacancy for us.
menu is printed in hardcover booklet and choices are not so many (you know food will be good when choices are limited) . We ordered claypot potato leaf, eggplant, Guinness rid, braised chicken, and nyonya squid. When we were served with another pork dish where we didnt order, we informed the captain and without hesitation it was taken away. in the end the chicken was not served and thus we concluded the order was misplaced. as it was only a company of 3, we didnt raise the issue as we were full and satisfied with all the food.
i must say the food quality is at top notch level and service wasn't bad at all. if i really need to say something bad, i would say the eggplant is not to my liking. overall it was a good experience dining here and definitely be coming back...
Read moreI really enjoyed my meal at Fenix Restaurant in Kuchai Lama! I’ve been to their Genting branch before and loved it, and I’m so glad to find that the food here is just as tasty and consistent in quality.
We ordered quite a few dishes — the fried water spinach in clay pot (MY FAV!!), Long Kee crispy pork belly (never disappoints), superior soup kappa clams (another absolute favourite!), prawns and fried squid with Nyonya sauce, and crispy fried pork intestines. Every single dish was well-cooked, flavourful, and served hot and fresh. You can really taste the quality of their ingredients and the skill of the kitchen.
Service was also great — the staff were attentive, polite, and the food came out surprisingly fast even though the restaurant was busy. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, which makes it a great spot for both family dinners and casual gatherings.
The only minor downside is that the ventilation could be improved — the cooking oil smell lingers a bit in the dining area. Other than that, everything else was fantastic. Highly recommended if you love Chinese-style dishes with great flavours...
