TL;DR version: As far as dine-in experiences go, this would be my first and last visit. The food sold here is meh but the ordering process is too much of a chore for something as simple as visiting a food court. ————————
Here's what you can expect for your first visit here. You browse and walk up to each store then scan a QR code pasted in front of each store to place an order. This will take you to their online ordering system which will ask you for your personal details and there is no option to checkout as a guest. No, the food court doesn't need my email and phone number when I'm just ordering kopi peng. That's red flag number one.
There's only limited payment options from selected e-wallets and no options to pay via credit card, bank transfer, and no option to pay at the counter. When you do select a payment option, you need to login and this being payment application, you need to provide the authorisation pin even after logging in. If you remember that pin, good on you. But most people don't remember their pin numbers. Red flag number 2
So you're now stuck after 20 mins trying (and failing) to order through their QR code and the stall owners will sympathetically point you to a separate, main payment counter to place an order. A counter that's already filled with folks just like you who struggled with the ordering process and you need to wait another 10 minutes in a queue to place your order manually. Then, and only then, you are given a chit with an order number and you wait another 8—10 mins for your food to be prepared. Red flag number 3000.
It's absolutely bonkers how this place runs. The sheer un-intuitiveness and high effort needed just to place an order for food that generally amounts to an uninteresting spread of hawker-style fare is so apparent here that it makes you wonder if guests come here out of sheer desperation for cheaper food options in the area. This is not just an expression of disappointment at poor service, it's a service level that intentionally imposes a Sisyphean challenge for you to enjoy your meal in a reasonable amount of time; an amount of time that, I might add, is specifically limited to a 1 hour lunch break. No, this place must do better. Other smaller food operators HAVE done better.
That disrespect for your time is reasonable enough for us never to return in the...
Read moreThe atmosphere or environment of the dining floor is pretty nice, unfortunaly the service is below expectation. To do ordering of the food is very inconvenient for customers where you have to order from kiosk A but you've to made the payment from the cashier. And some kiosk, they can order direct from the kiosk, pay there and you've to wait for sometimes to call for you to pickup the order.
Meanwhile, for drink you've to order from cashier counter and pickup at kiosk. Most od the times, the drink maker or incharge from baverage kiosk is not there. Then you have to wait again and again. Conclusion is there've taking my times about 25 mins average, it just to complete the order food and beverage instead we can save a lot of times to order and to having dine in from here.
Staff from beverage counter also not friendly. Basically this food court is not getting improve to be better, but getting in opposite way. For me, there have a lot of thing's can be improve, so dispointed how they manage of...
Read more"Masala Wheels" at this food court offers excellent Indian cuisine. They have options like Briyani or white rice paired with dishes, both vegetarian and meat options (chicken, mutton, fish). They also have fantastic selections of curry, dhal and rassam too. Most importantly, the prices are affordable and the quality has remained consistent since they started in this food court a few years ago. Give it a try and you won't regret.
Cashier wise of the food court, both ladies are friendly, helpful and...
