The place is grand and luxurious, tables are evenly spaced out, cutlery and decor details are clean and well curated. The staffs are friendly, helpful and attentive.

Went here for the Hibiscus Afternoon Tea (N/P: RM168 for a set for 2 pax). Overall the timing to prepare this is quite fast, tea is served within 8 minutes (Sadly i was expecting Hibiscus tea but i didnt saw it on the menu while i ordered one of the generic cheap tea options), while the food is served within 27 minutes upon seated, where most of the items are in tact except one small bite items thats fallen out of place a bit (96% success rate). The staffs actions are quite swift and professional still.

Overall its a proper hotel style Afternoon Tea. The presentation is beautiful (Although the set is Hibiscus inspired, but for some reason there are no Hibiscus flower be it real, imitation or edibles at all, which us a shame). The total menu items and portions are perfect.

Some of the savory items are quite interesting and nice to try new flavors, however couple of items are good to look at but taste alright only such as the croissant. As for the desserts most taste good, well balanced sweetness.

Some minor suggestions, scone portion is big however the jam seems to be a bit cheap (compared to Courtyard Marriot their jams are superior), the portion of cream offered is quite little. And mostly i really look forward for Hibiscus themed items. Be it putting a real or fake Hibiscus or even Hibiscus shaped chocolate instead of a normal one, or if those are too costly, maybe just print out a Hibiscus themed postcard or menu as a gift would be nice so i dont have to browse the digital menu while sampling the foodstuffs.

I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Mr. Jeeva during our recent visit to Sofitel’s LeBar, Cocktails and Stories. He approached my daughter and me with genuine warmth and friendliness, making us feel instantly welcome. His positive energy, attention to guests, pleasant conversation and thoughtful gesture of offering us wonderful snacks from the bar made me felt looking after by a friend, not just a staff!
