The food taste ok But the portion is awkward if u come with bunch of friend, u need 23 extra dishes from the total people on table to have enough portion for everyone , 89 dishes for 6 person But the table won't fit that many plates Or just go ala carte Drinks was too sweet, better off with sodas And tomyam ladle I don't know whether u didn't have the correct size or what or ur man gave the wrong ladle , barely fits in and can't reach half of the thing That restaurant is very hot
Need to properly educate the waiter what not to do especially that guy always with the jacket on Maybe he thinks that jacket really "fashion" on him , but seriously not Dont play with food, when serving just even 1 egg to the customer, don't simply put into the jacket pocket and take it out , play with the jacket and play with the food , he's not performing a show and how often he wash that jacket ? Restaurant need uniform for a reason , cleanliness and look clean and the word "uniform"
The most important one is why the jacket guy serve our food on one hand and a floor mop on the other hand ? Did he understand what is food hygiene? What next ? A toilet brush on hand next time or a toilet pump ?
Get a proper clean preparation table for cooks to pass food to the waiters , the cooks just simply put dish on the chocolate table full with junk or worker's personal item boxes of who know what on top , barely have place to cook to put the dish It's either u cover it up or u make everything right
After so much I observed in such a short period, definitely not going back...
Read moreMy other half and I normally order Grab takeaways from ITR but decided to eat at ITR tonight, for the first time. It's definitely lots better having the food freshly served, than having takeaways delivered. 😁
Along the same street where ITR is, there are 3 Thai restaurants. A lot of competition. Amongst the 3, we have been to the one next door called Baan Thai. And, I couldn't help but compare.
In terms of taste, aroma and experience, we prefer the food at ITR compared to Baan Thai, even though quite a number of items weren't available tonight (Isan sausages, crabs and oysters).
Other than the Pineapple Fried Rice with Seafood (which was oddly wet), everything we had tonight hit the bull's eye.
The service was a hit and miss. The only one that spoke English was the friendly Thai lady behind the counter. The waiter took the wrong orders, but we accepted them anyhow. 😂. Not the end of the world.
For our dinner, the bill came to MYR 233++... A little on the higher side I reckon, since we didn't get much of any visible large item seafood in every other than the grilled big head shrimp, and the tiny shrimps, handful of sliced squid and fishballs in the Tom Yum Talay.
Yet, the food was delicious. Kudos to the chef or chefs... 👏👏👏
We'll definitely be back again...
Read moreHappy to find a 2nd place for good Isan food, especially because they have the steamed sticky rice, which is missing in the other Thai place in Jalan Landak. With steamed sticky rice, the dishes that go well with are the tasty papaya salad with fermented fish and the fried dry beef. The portions of dishes are generous. The only lacking is the beef should be cut in longer and thiner slices which allow the spices to marinate well with the meat during the drying process. Price is higher than in Jalan Landak, because of declared service and tax applied, and because of proper dining area. Service...
