Above average food weighed down by one of the most horrendous service I have ever experienced

Was told by staff that my reservation that I had made for 2 pax was not in the system so was tucked away in the corner of the restaurant in between 2 tables each with 10 to 15 people, not exactly the best spot for intimacy as I was celebrating my partner's birthday.

My order was mixed up with one of the 10-15 pax table sitting next to us, the waiter (whom turned out to the manager) literally came up to us and said "tell me what did you order."

Waited two hours to be notified that the prawns that I had ordered was out of stock. They had offered a different prawn dish and we had said ok. The waiter (manager) then said to us "you're lucky, this is our last portion". Yeap feel so lucky waiting two hours for prawns and on top of that not even prawns that we had initially ordered. Furthermore, feeling lucky getting something that I'm needing to pay for...

Sat with dirty plates for about forty minutes in front of me only to have a waiter come to my table asking me to help him clean the table so that he can put another dish down when two waiters before that had come to the table, look at the bloody dirty plates and just walk away. Furthermore, this waiter by the name of Logan literally rolled his eyes at me because he had wanted me to scrape the prawn shells from my personal plate onto the plate which the prawn dish had came in. I instead put my personal plate on top of prawn dish plate which was clearly not what he had wanted....

Ordered Valencia Paella, when it came it was crunchy, brown and burnt. Clearly scraped from the bottom of the pan after serving up a few orders of the same dish to other tables. Sent it back only to have it return without prawns. We were told by the manager that prawns were out of stock. For God's sake, tell us sooner so we can order something else. Instead we sat there for 2 and a half hours waiting for a dish that was missing essential elements and charging the same damn price? The waiter (manager) was incredibly rude about it telling us that he had told us the prawns were out of stock since he had told us that we received the last portion of the grilled prawns? As if we were supposed to know the same prawns were used for the Valencia Paella? Why didn't you just 86 the damn dish? And told us earlier so that we could order something else.

Unfortunately cannot recommend. Food was pretty decent but there are tapas places elsewhere with similar quality food but significantly better service and...

It is not a secret that Marta's Kitchen would come to my mind whenever I crave for a good Spanish dinner. It is also a very popular place for gatherings and celebrations for family and friends, so popular that reservation is a MUST on weekends.

I love the authentic Spanish home cooked dishes supervised by the ever-present Marta in the open kitchen, while her husband manages the floor and did an excellent job at it. The atmosphere in this restaurant is lively and enjoyable, helped by the Spanish songs playing from the speakers. All the service crews were very attentive and friendly which made them faultless at times.

◾Selection of Iberian cuts and manchego cheese RM67 - Loved the cheese and the assortment of cured meats served on the platter. However, I noticed that the cut was too thin to my liking. Served with awesome tomato concasse and bread to dip. ◾San Jacobo RM28 with a tender piece of breaded pork sirloin filled with iberico ham and melted manchego cheese. Delicious stuff. ◾Pinchos Morunos RM22 - Spanish takes on marinated pork kebabs with best Spanish spices. Tender and delicious according to the princess. ◾Roasted Peppers with Ortiz Tuna RM32 was my favourite started as I love the fragrant tuna paired with the soft peppers. ◾Squid Ink Paella RM37 - I love when they allow single portion whereas some places requires 2 portions. Came with big prawn and the white cream went very well with the black coloured paella. Always order this. ◾Churros RM19 with chocolate dipping sauce - they make fresh upon order by squeezing the dough into the hot oil and deep fried on the spot. Best!

I didn't eat the baked Iberico ribs this time but so take note that the ribs are one of the best (if not the best) in town. Corkage is charged at RM50 per bottle and best of all, there's no tax charged on the price paid (at the point of my dinner).

Marta's Kitchen have opened new outlets in Lalaport and Sky Avenue...

Terrible experience! The food? Basic! Service? Horrible! Location? Placed at the most difficult junction for you to find a parking spot! Have to made twice full round around sri hartamas to find a parking around that point, otherwise you would have to walked quite far to visit this place. Ambience? If you seeking a peaceful night with your friends, family or partner, forget it. You'll have to eat with the kids running back and forth and parents pushing your chair to keep up with their kids, like an Olympic! They sometimes climbed the garden wall behind your back! Talented customers weren't they? And don't forget, the kids did slam your glass or bottle too while running wildly. Before i wrote this, i read a review saying that their beverage never came! And i can assure you, it's not a myth! First thing first after i sat down, i ordered my sangria. Appretizers arrived. Dry throat begged for drink that they never gave me. 2000 times asking the server "could u pls bring my sangria? I've asked you guys several times" They even had the nerve to asked "have you ordered this before?" Being placed next to the trash bin, and having to repeated my self for a simple order really challenged my patience. I have to knocked the glass of the kitchen to get the attention from the server (yet didn't succeed) my boyfriend had to come forward to call the server inside the restaurant (multiple times), even after i reminded them, right after we sat down, "due to secluded table you gave us, please put extra effort to pay attention to us. I forsee that we will have difficulty as simple as to place an order, if that happened, we'll leave" and yet what really happened much worse than what i anticipated. Don't come here guys, there are many better restaurants here in KL that...
