Update : I went in on 27th Feb to do my hair again and the colour didn't turn out the way I thought it would. I asked them if I could come to fix and i'll pay and the stylist told me he couldn't do any hair anymore as he doesn't know what I want and is no longer confident and asked me to go to a different salon. I don't understand why we can't ask them to fix it and be willing to pay. I made an appointment at their lot10 outlet for this week to have it fixed since the mont kiara outlet didn't have another stylist and the manager rang me today to discuss the incident and then told me I couldn't go to any of their outlets anymore. I haven't done anything wrong and they're rejecting my appointments. I didn't even ask for a refund. By far the worst experience I have had with this place. It's one thing to stand behind your staff - it's another to completely disregard customer feedback and then ban them.
Update : I'm amending the rating from 1 to 4. The manager rang me to apologise 3 months ago and I went back and also had mum do her hair with Charles recently and the experience was pleasant and I'm happy with the results. I did struggle to get there in time for both appointments and they helped adjust the time for us even though it was a bit tricky for them to do and I appreciated it so very much ! that said we should always be on time for appointments.
Previous review. I've been to this salon many times now. I'm always happy with my stylist Charles - he's very good and the team always try and fix any mistakes done with my hair and this has happened twice and I gave them the opportunity to rectify a few times. However, they take ages to reply to messages and today they basically made it clear they rather lose me as a customer than consider extending the validity of my birthday treatment which I am entitled to during my birthday month. I wasn't able to see them in time and I asked if I could do it after and they said no and I was upset because these treatment options are quite expensive if I do it after. I explained why I couldn't make it in time I had been away from country and also unwell towards the last week of the month and they didn't seem to care and wouldn't change their minds. I basically said I'd walk away as I was upset and they said that's fine. I am so disappointed that they are willing to let me go as a customer than consider extending and I've been going there for a while now and have recommended them friends and family. No doubt the colleagues & people surroundings are very polite, welcoming and friendly, but I don't see confidenceĀ in what theyĀ want toĀ do throughĀ myĀ hair cut experience. I observed through how they (those 2,3 who involvedĀ in my hair cut) talk, give suggestions / opinions, and even how they hold a comb, scissorĀ and hair dryer etc.Ā I am like the one whichĀ just led the conversation and told him what and how to deal with my hair cut. I have to make a decisionĀ instead of being advised with options / solutions. A lot of "unsure'' was demonstrated and sensed.Ā Though I am subscribing to a Senior Stylist service however, my overall haircut experience is pretty "academy" level. There are 3 parts in the process - CUT, WASH & STYLING. I do understand at times we will allow and give a chance for an apprentice to do WASHING, as part of learning.Ā Whilst, CUTTING and STYLING should still come from Senior Stylists (honestly most hair salon worksĀ such a way). This wasn't my case. Styling process has also been done by an apprentice. I think this is not an appropriate service level because we are subscribing for a Senior Stylist. I know everyone is busy and at times, multi-tasking could not be handled well.Ā But at least, I would prefer the Senior Stylist still showed up and took up the OWNERSHIP to "check" & "finetune" the work of the apprentice instead of ending the service just like that.Ā I wasn't convinced to end the service therefore I insisted to re-do the styling again byĀ the Senior Stylist.
I do agree on language barriers to a certain extent however, my personal opinion still thinks that, if an individual is sensitive (experienced) enough, he/she is still able to understand basic human needs & manage the customer experiences and expectations accordingly in a great way. My case is supposedĀ to be easy money for 76 Style as there is nothing much to do for a shoulder length hair style. Therefore, creating and delivering a great customer experience will serve and add value to the subscription and also the reason for making me trust 76 style.
Overall it's the way how they carry and present themselves andĀ the inability to demonstrate a human sense service experience which disappointĀ me and lead me to share this review...

The atmosphere and decor was as always amazing, I always enjoy going there to get my haircut when I am home in Malaysia. I usually make an appointment with Danny but I guess he got promoted because instead of the usual 76RM for a haircut it was now around 100RM so I looked for who was at the 76RM level. I made an appointment with Miko feeling a little skeptical but I tried to stay open minded. It was a simple wash and cut that started off alright, she asked what style I wanted and I said very clearly that I wanted a trim and some light layers so my hair wasn't too straight at the bottom. She started cutting my hair immediately and I was so confused as usually when I went they would wash it first but when I asked she said she would wash it after. Bit different but not really a big concern. Anyways, everything went normal, the hair wash done by another girl was absolutely incredible I almost fell asleep right then and there. Then back to the haircut. I am no haircut expert so I just let her do her job. There were a few small annoyances that I ignored because I knew she was less experienced. For example when she was combing through my hair to cut it her comb kept scraping my ear. Afterwards, they curled my hair and made it look really nice so I was really happy with my haircut at first! But then after I washed it the next day I was very unhappy. My hair is now so choppy and thick at the bottom, as well as being way too straight although not in a neat way. Completely not what I asked for. The layering was very minimal and not to the usual standard that I have come to expect from 76 Style. The transition in lengths is not as smooth as I would have liked and it just looks choppy. I am really disappointed and will be trying to...
