My recent stay at Hyatt House Mont Kiara was an exceptionally frustrating experience, largely due to repeated and severe issues with management, specifically the House Manager, Mrs. Sawant Aditya.||||Initially, my stay was meant to last from July 5th to September 4th, 2025. After booking the first seven days using the Friends and Family rate (FAF rate), I responsibly switched to standard promotional rates due to the seven-day FAF restriction. Upon consulting the front desk about the possibility of negotiating a better long-stay rate, I was clearly informed by the front desk manager on duty that I could continue using the FAF rate by simply renewing the booking every seven days.||||Following their suggestion, I adjusted my reservations accordingly. Shockingly, on July 18th, my friend, who had provided the FAF rate, informed me that Hyatt House Mont Kiara had reported me to their hotel’s HR department, falsely accusing me of misusing the FAF rate. When I confronted the front desk, they not only refused to honor their initial commitment but insisted on charging a rate significantly higher than the standard published rate, clearly demonstrating unethical business practices.||||Throughout this ordeal, Mrs. Sawant Aditya demonstrated an alarming lack of integrity. She repeatedly made dishonest claims, first suggesting the decision came from Hyatt Group policy and later blaming the local management. Only after filing an official complaint with the Hyatt corporate office, and after thorough investigation, did the corporate team officially apologize, confirming that the hotel had provided incorrect information and behaved dishonestly.||||However, despite the corporate intervention and apology, Mrs. Aditya’s attitude towards me worsened significantly. Upon my return on July 26th, I was assigned room 1916, the lowest possible floor, despite explicitly requesting a higher floor. The room had a malfunctioning washing machine, and despite multiple complaints, the issue was not addressed promptly. Additionally, requests to improve internet speed, which should be standard for Lifetime Globalist members, were continuously ignored.||||Further highlighting Mrs. Aditya’s negative approach, another manager had assured me on July 27th that I could return to my previously preferred room (03 layout) on July 31st. Yet, upon arrival at the front desk on July 31st, I was informed that Mrs. Aditya explicitly instructed staff not to allow this change, blatantly contradicting the promise made earlier. The housekeeping services also became notably passive, failing to service my room unless explicitly requested multiple times.||||Mrs. Aditya’s emails throughout were disrespectful, inappropriate, and demonstrated clear disdain for guests, especially Lifetime Globalist members. Her tone was consistently rude and dismissive, only showing marginal compliance after corporate intervention.||||Given this repeated and severe disregard for basic integrity and customer service, I strongly suggest Hyatt House Mont Kiara reconsider its association with the Hyatt brand. If this hotel is unwilling to uphold the basic standards and ethics expected of a Hyatt property, it might be better for them to remove the Hyatt branding entirely to avoid further damage to Hyatt’s reputation.||||Despite the commendable efforts by Hyatt corporate representatives, especially Sally Li, who professionally handled this issue with sincerity and respect, the local management’s attitude was completely unacceptable. Hyatt House Mont Kiara under the current management of Mrs. Sawant Aditya has significantly compromised the high standards typically expected from Hyatt properties.||||For travelers, especially Hyatt loyalists, I strongly recommend reconsidering your choice to stay at Hyatt House Mont Kiara until substantial management...
Read moreAs a regular of this property, I have stayed here numerous times. I am here almost every month in the last 2 years. The venue is great. The room is well appointed and clean. There are numerous occasions that I would like to bring attention to for the management to improve Basic amenities in bathroom such as lotion and toothbrush weren't included. You have to keep asking for it. Which I find a little tiring
I left my diamond ring and gold ring here once and housekeeping claimed they did not find it. I am 1000% sure I left it there and I always recall where I last left my things as a frequent traveller. Their response to my enquiry about lost items weren't helpful at all
I got electrocuted once using their plug point next to the bed. I found out the carpet of the floor in that room next to my bed were damp. This is so dangerous. Imagine a kid get electrocuted. All I got was sorry from one of the room manager as I bumped into him at the hallway
Forget about having lunch in their cafe. The few times I had lunch there, chicken were raw and restless and takes them ages to prepare lunch
As an explorist world of Hyatt member I always get benefits in other Hyatt chain. Here largely depends on who checks you in. The lady with long hair ( sorry didn't get your name) was always nice and happy to upgrade me. The other lady not at all and made me pay regular price for upgrading of room
The other staff like bellboys are helpful whenever I arrive
Once I left my phone in the room and I travel to another state, the staff kept it for me and follow proper procedures to return it to me. Unlike when I lost my rings . I guess phone is easier to trace?
Hope the management read this message because I have provided them with my feedback via their internal channels but not sure if anyone...
Read moreRooms were decently clean. But the noise proofing is very bad. I stayed at 3220 and you can hear every single thing going on outside. From other people's door slamming to the cleaners walking by in the morning, to people talking outside.
Also, it seems to be a setting issue, but every night at around 12.45am, the air-conditioning will enter some maintenance mode where it has this rhythmic low growling sound that sounds like someone snoring. It can be a little creepy. I believe i wasnt the only one who experienced this because when I was checking in, I heard the person beside me who was checking out, complaining about being able to hear the "snoring" from the next door.
The air-conditioning also cannot be kept on constantly, it has this setting where once it hits the temperature you set, it switches off, waits awhile then starts up again. You also cant change this. It has happened multiple times where it suddenly starts up and stop and starts for a few minutes and is quite loud and alarming. It is a very loud tackk sound of the machine starting up. If you dont have ear plugs, i dont think youll have a good sleep.
There is no free parking as well. It is capped at a maximum of 12rm for stay longer than 6hours. If you park lesser than 6hrs, it is 2rm/hr. You will need to validate your TnG card everytime before you exit.
There is also a mini rooftop bar which has really nice views and really pricy drinks. Without happy hour, cocktails are around 50rm per glass.
At this price point and with the room noise issue, I honestly think that there are better places to stay in kl. Whats more youre paying a hotel price for not really hotel standard. The rooms arent carpeted, the walkways are open air and non air-conditioned. Probably the only good thing is the location, it has malls nearby and is at...
