McDonald's 1 Shamelin Mall — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

First & foremost, this is a brand new outlet. I hope these reviews are taken into consideration in order to improve the services rendered via delivery / drive-thru. It is known as a FAST FOOD outlet for a reason. Food has to be fast if not it defeats the purpose of its entirety. Dining in- the deco / cleanliness was a sight for sore eyes. It was outstanding. Service was good as well. However, when it came to drive-thru, it was a challenge. It took 45 mins just to pass through a 30 meter drive-thru. Don’t get me wrong. The staffs were polite, I feel the concept is not properly done. The hub/booth where we collect our food is haywire. Staffs have to keep running in back and forth the walkway to collect & pass the food to customers. There isn’t any conjoining walkway for them. My heart goes out to the staffs physically straining themselves because of such troubling concept. This does delay a lot of orders because there could easily be mix ups . Yesterday, the customer in the car front of me actually got down his vehicle screaming at the staff at the food collection hub/booth claiming he has waited 45 mins for his fried chicken. To be honest, I can visibly see the staffs extremely stressed running up & down and this isn’t their fault. The collection hub should be conjoined with the kitchen / food packing area to minimise delays & inaccuracy of packing orders. The packing area is combined with drive-thru orders & Mcdelivery orders, hence there’s possibly many confusion & irregularities. Due to delays, our food was stale & the moment we reached home which is few mins away, the food was soggy & not as tempting. I really do hope the Management of this outlet improvises on this drive-thru system. Find a more effective way for your staffs to obtain orders & pass it on to customers waiting at the collection hub/booth windows, instead of making your staffs tirelessly run back & forth the main walkway. Also, add on budget in hiring more service staffs at your packing area for drive-thru & Mcdelivery customers. Nevertheless, hats off to all the service staff that somehow still maintains professionalism & a smile on their faces in spite the chaotic drive-thru system. I'm giving 2 stars for the opening time. This outlet used to open at 6.30am which is convenient for me to buy breakfast before I go to work,now it opens at 7am 😖😖😖.

Went today to tapau french fries, take a look at the pict. Seriously, McDonald's,is this how you teach your staff? Or should you tell your staff that this restaurant does not belongs to their father so no need to skim on the orders? I paid rm7.15 for a large fries and this portion is equivalent to a small one. Feels sad for my daughter.

Please close this mcd so when I order mcdelivery from the app my food won't come from here!!!!!!!! The previous one before they opened was so so good! The people working at this Mcd never read the additional comments, consistently sends flat coke, and cold food, the cili sos is NEVER enough, and tonight they gave me the wrong burger. Not only is the burger I received a cheaper burger, it also had pickles (which I hate) and was also a special order for no sauce. I ordered mine with sauce only.
