Great ingredients, loads of love, some pretty awesome pizza dough, and the creativity of their Lab Geeks create truly unique Pizza experiences. 😍
No crusts left behind is My Pizza Lab’s personal motto. True enough, no pizza crusts (or pizzas, for that matter) were left behind at the restaurant during our recent visit. 😜 Where crusts are abandoned more often than not, what My Pizza Lab does differently is invent a crust that’s just as flavourful as the pizza itself. ⭐️ The texture is reminiscent of bread—focaccia to be specific. A slight crisp on the outside with that addictive soft white bread texture on the inside. 😋 MyPizzaLab also offers a range of sizes, 18”, 10″ and 7″, depending on how hungry you are. 😍 We opted mostly for 7” which is similar to a personal pan size, so that we can order more flavours without over ordering 🤭
Here were some of my favourites: Cheesy Bread - Using their Signature Pizza Dough, it is folded over and filled with Italian herbs, Roasted Garlic, and Cheese, cut and topped with even more cheese, then baked to gooey perfection. Topped and finished with a drizzle of tangy Green Salsa. The green salsa was so refreshing and it cuts out the cloyingness of the cheese! This means you can eat more bread without feeling sick 😆👍🏻 The smartest move ever, bcos normally after a few slices you did feel jelak, but in contrary, the green salsa keeps you going in for more 😎💚 Don Pepe Calzone - Italian Beef Pepperoni, Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Red Onions. This was really good and compact! It was stuffed with generous ingredients and the dough was so good! I think what made their calzone exceptionally fabulous was the dough used, creating a crispy, golden brown exterior that is slightly chewy and provides a satisfying crunch when bitten into. 🫦 Mary's Lamb - Sweet braised lamb, cherry tomatoes, roasted minced garlic, onion jam, mozzarella. The lamb was shredded and it was heavenly flavourful. If you don’t fancy tomato based pizza, then this is the one for you ❤️ Normally non tomato based pizzas are rather plain, but this one here was still heavily flavoured and bold 👍🏻 The Dugong - Umami wakame seaweed, streaky beef, mozzarella , kewpie sesame sauce and onion jam 🥓 Umami goodness!! That’s the best way to describe it 😍 Savoury from the streaky beef and the roasted sesame sauce has a distinctive and delicious taste that adds depth and complexity to the pizza! What an interesting twist 😚 Apam Balik Pizza - Creamed corn, peanut butter, desiccated coconut, mozzarella. Malaysians take pride in their food and my pizza lab proves why Malaysian food always wins 🇲🇾 As intriguing it may sound, it was actually hella good! I reckon it’s better than the traditional version of apam balik 🤪 Sweet, creamy and nutty flavours on a soft yet thin and firm pizza dough was the perfect dessert 😋🌽 I hope they keep this in their menu forever 🥹 Pesto Duck - Smoked duck slices, jalapenos, mozzarella & basil pesto sauce. My Pizza lab takes pride in their famous pizza: Huat The Duck, but since I’m not a fan of fruits on my pizza, I tried the pesto version instead which is fruit free 😂 And ofc it did not disappoint! They are legit so so generous with their toppings. You can barely see the pizza base. All I see is pink bits of smoked duck scattered everywhere to give you a mouthful of quaking goodness 🦆 Their pesto also hits the spot 💚
MyPizzaLab has opted for a lighter, Italian-style dough for its pizzas as opposed to heavy, American-style dough, so that’s a point in their favour. I've been fortunate enough to visit PizzaLab twice now, and I'm still raving about their incredible food.
Their pizzas are simply divine. The Beef pepperoni and Huat the Duck are absolute showstoppers. The dough is perfectly soft and chewy, with a satisfyingly crispy crust. The sauce and cheese complement each other beautifully, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. It's a 10/10 experience every time.
As for the sides, the drummets are a must-try. The chicken is incredibly juicy and well-cooked, and the honey BBQ sauce is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. It's another 10/10 winner.
The staff at PizzaLab are friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I also appreciate the complimentary drinking water. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and portion sizes make it a once in a while splurge.
Unfortunately, the Tiramisu was a bit of a letdown. While the portion size is generous, the flavor profile was unbalanced. The "smoky" flavor was too overpowering, and the excessive cocoa powder made it difficult to appreciate the other tastes. The cream cheese layer was also too thin, resulting in a dense and somewhat unpleasant dessert.
Overall, I highly recommend PizzaLab for their exceptional pizzas and sides. I hope they'll consider revisiting their Tiramisu recipe to create a more balanced and enjoyable dessert. With a little improvement, PizzaLab could be a perfect 10/10...
Read moreCame here for the second time for birthday month promotion (buy 2 pizza 10 inch, free 1 pizza 10 inch, the free one is the lowest priced). Still love the place even during this second visit. Complimentary cold plain water is served in bottle. Chili flakes is available as well.
The butcher farm is their counterpart of the Elvis burger from myBurgerLab. It has blueberry jam. Sounds weird but it works. Definitely try this out first when you come here.
Scorching Hawaiian is as the name suggest, chicken and pineapple but using their hot sauce instead of the typical Hawaiian sauce in other pizza place. It's quite hot for normal people so proceed with care.
Royal meat also uses the same hot sauce but when the shear amount of meat they put on the pizza, you can barely taste it. I would say the amount of meat is too much. However given that I have the other two pizzas, I just put the extra meat on the other pizza to make it balanced.
Viet hot wings uses the same hot opporto sauce. The wings are decently cooked. 6 pieces per serving is also quite standard.
I think the three pizza ordered this time is a killer combo. I order the same stuffs thr first time I came, with the exception of Royal Meat. The other flavors are either too normal or too weird. Wanted to try the duck pizza but they put mandarin orange on it. Not sure...
