I, an unassuming first-time guest, am amazed at the popularity on a Thursday at 5pm (opening time). The queue for dining in has two employees and multiple QR codes to ensure a smooth check in process. The separate queue for take away is managed by another two employees who rang up my order with such speed it conjures visions of a certain American chicken drive thru known for efficiency šŸ” if you know, you know.

Of course, the last thing on the menu is chicken. For the disappointed, hungry soul who can’t find (plant) food at a row of food stalls, the menu covers the entire street. Tomyam, curry mee, mihun, char kway teow, bak kut teh, char siew, and Malaysia’s beloved nasi lemak. Good luck choosing. For those who have never eaten meat, you have no idea what anything on the menu taste like. I recommend your meat-loving partner order for you. Luckily, I brought my southern Georgia sweetheart. He’ll probably order char siew, because one never regrets BBQ. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

The food surpasses my expectation. The atmosphere becoming more of a Kopitiam style due to huge numbers of demand. Sadly, all these spur the ego of the staff to the extreme of asking us to vacate a table next to us when in fact we were already there minutes earlier to secure seats for 8 of us. That I could forgive the servicing staff. The unforgettable part is when I was approached outside the restaurant,.. yeah...past the main entrance outside in the walking footpath that wrong change was given to me and she, the counter staff, asked to inspect my wallet. This enraged me but I am a nice polite person so I admonished her publicly in front of other passerbys that I didn't bother to look at the change after I paid and it was real rude and unthoughtful of her to come running out to the client to rectify the mistake she incurred herself. My suggestion to the management is to replace her with someone quick at mathematics and someone's else that emphasizes on the sizeable measure of experience in retails and place importance on clientele satisfaction and expectations of what...

Pros: 1) Clean, good hygiene. 2) Good SOP. I like the staffs who will remind customers to obey the SOP rules. 3) Before entering the restaurant, customers are required to queue up to wash their hands with soap and water. This is extra safe. 4) The seaweed popiah is crunchy and the mayo is nice with a sense of tartar sauce and creamy texture. 5) The charsiew rice is fantastic. The BBQ sauce is homemade and have the real smoky flavour in it. They smoke the sauce on their own, keeping the natural smokiness. The charsiew is crunchy ans not too dark. The soup is abit oily but okay. It's quite big portion for me I feel full and satisfied. 6) The menu is placed under a glass on the table so customers won't have to hold them. This ensures extra safety and stop viruses from spreading. 7) Washroom is quite clean, tissue paper is provided. Automatic dispersion of soap and water is equipped as well.

Was surprised to see the queue for this restaurant - this was popular! We had to wait before we got a seat in the restaurant but the place was very comfortable. I’ve read reviews of the healthy salad popiah and was initially hesitant as I thought it’ll taste raw. Lo and behold, this was my favourite item that evening. The seaweed was still crispy, veggies were crunchy, there weren’t any rice and it felt fresh, not raw. Ling mian and the salt and pepper tofu was also enjoyable. Though not as mind blowing as the popiah. In summary, popular place with nice food options. Would return if I’m around the vicinity but don’t think I’d be dying to queue for it!
