Craving Sarawakian cuisine while in the Desa Setapak area? Drop by Restoran Wang Chuang Food Court try their Kolo Mee!
As I was feeling adventurous after my hike at a nearby hill, I ordered Spinach (if not mistaken) Kolo Mee Noodles, and the price was very reasonable (below RM10). The savory soy sauce and minced meat gives flavor to the chewy green noodles, a combination that is comforting to my taste buds.
For drinks, I ordered a refreshing Ribena drink to quench my thirst, as I lost a lot of fluid through perspiration during my hike earlier, and had not replenish because I forgot to bring my own water. Nothing hits better than a sweet, icy cold beverage after such an intense activity on a bright hot sunny day!
The abang staff has an extremely good memory, as he was able to remember all ten different drinks from my group of friends without issue.

Read moreTraditional Chinese Kopitiam with hawker stalls. Been visiting for years... Shop usually busy in the morning to lunch hours and hard to get parking over there. Some foods are nice, some so so... And got even not fresh foods (depending which stalls you are visiting).
Sarawak noodle is nice if the Minced meat and chat siew can give a bit more, this would be perfect eat. Wanton Mee stall their dumpling and wanton soup is best, char siew given are just nice portion, Wanton filled meat is generous compare with many other stalls outside. Chinese Coffee taste good too. But the hainan bread toast (Kaya butter) are just so so, as it doesn't look like toasted it, still very soft and not Crunchy during the bite.... As the staff just simply grill/heat up the bread in oven and simply prepare for me.😏
Price increasing from times to times follow economic market... Price even 2 to 3 times a year 😟....

The chicken chop rice is quite good, skin is crispy but I hope they do have option of serving chicken soup with salad option other than rice. Chicken chop rice set is rm9 and if without rice the portion will be more at rm15. Price is reasonable but I do hope they have option of no rice maybe at the price of rm8 or even same price as rm9. For the chicken rice shop next to it, I find the roaat chicken and pork rice taste bland,...
