Food is good but completely let down by extremely poor service!

Booked a table for 7 adults and 3 children to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday and Mother's Day on May 11. Thought of treating the family to somewhere nice after a friend's recommendation but utterly disappointed by the service. Bryant took my order over the phone at 1pm for dinner at 630pm. Poor service from him and no apology for the events that happened that night:

Waiter had poor command of English, couldn't explain what the dishes were when he served them. I had to do all the explaining. Shame as their food is interesting and has all these fancy names and description in the menu but not explained to the whole table.

Tea was immediately served, didn't wait to brew, surely that's basic?

Wrong drink served, and kept insisting that honey lemon is honeydew.

Ordered steam Soon Hock fish. It came on a ceramic plate, and then placed on candles to be kept warm. Bad decision. The plate cracked and sauce spilt over the table, luckily no one was hurt. Then they said they gave a new fish but it was the same fish served. Such dangerous decision, what if there were some of the broken pieces of ceramic left in the fish? And why lie that a new fish was served? Had to insist for a new one.

Food just keep being served non stopped even though we have not finished, abalone noodles getting cold sitting at the side. Mentioned this to Bryant who then said they would pace the dishes. This then resulted in....

Waiting 45 mins for them to bring a simple dessert cake, then brought another customer's cake instead. Luckily we realised that the cake was ordered from elsewhere and it must have been someone else's cake. Then waited another 15mins again. Not even anything fancy but something from their own dessert menu. Wanted to try other desserts from the menu but gave up at this point.

Poor customer service throughout, manager didn't even try to apologise or make up for poor service. Took extremely long to get the bill ready. We had a young baby with us which was why we reserved for an early dinner, but ended up leaving very late. We all left with a bitter taste with the whole experience, such a let down for my family.

No sign of Bryant after the start of the dinner. Funny, he was so eager to please and encourage me to order lots of expensive items...

I am writing to provide feedback regarding the Chinese New Year set that I recently ordered for four people, which cost a total of RM1300++. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience, including the atmosphere and the taste of the food.

Firstly, the atmosphere of the restaurant did not meet my expectations for a Chinese New Year celebration. The ambiance was lacking in festive decorations and did not create a vibrant or joyful atmosphere. I believe that during such a significant celebration, it is crucial for the restaurant to create an environment that reflects the spirit of the occasion.

Moreover, the taste of the food was extremely disappointing. Considering the price I paid for the set, I had expected a higher quality of cuisine. However, the dishes served were subpar and did not justify the cost. The flavors were bland, the ingredients seemed of mediocre quality, and the overall presentation lacked creativity and attention to detail.

Regrettably, I must state that the Chinese New Year set I experienced at your restaurant was not worth the amount I paid. I had hoped for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of my expectations.

I urge you to take this feedback into consideration and strive to improve the quality of your offerings. Chinese New Year is a significant celebration for many individuals and families, and it is crucial for restaurants to meet the expectations of their customers during this festive season.

Visited on 13/6/18. Service is quite good actually .. very attentive & do pull a chair for you to put your bag. However, when there is a waiter offering to give some recommendation on food ordering, find that he is kind of impatient and thus we are not very comfortable with it & decided just to take the set & add one more tapas for our order. Add on tapas is the signature sushi where consist of 6 pcs with nasi lemak sushi, hainan chicken sushi & mango sticky sushi (each flavor 2 pcs). Hmm.. taste wise for this sushi doesn’t really impress! Taste is lacking especially the nasi lemak sushi, I can’t taste the sambal. Seriously, improvement needed. For the set I ordered consists of 1 tapas , 1 soup , 3 course & 1 dessert. Hotate steak with orange dressing & green salad : this is quite good. I quite like it. The orange dressing is tasty. Spicy & sour fish maw with crab meat & ginger slower : not too bad but kinda strong of pepper tatse. Wok-fried venison with fried long bean & mushroom : taste is lacking & some meat are quite hard to chew. Braised river prawn with Thai chili sweet corn sauce : hmm .. not my liking. Homemade crispy rice with smoked duck & eggplant sauce : this crispy rice is kinda good. But this dish is come with basil leave where not much people could take it but you could just put it aside. Chilled pumpkin with vanilla ice cream : kind of special though but if could get better quality of ice cream 😝 Overall is quite a pleasant dining expensive.
