Surprisingly this restaurant is not too far away from KL even though it is located at Salak South. We heard from a friend about their famous mustard veggies rice so we decided to give it a try. We were lucky to get a carpark just outside the restaurant. The restaurant was not too packed on a weekday. This place serves popular Malaysian Chinese food. We settled for the steamed pork belly with preserved veggies, pork stomach peppery hot bak kut teh, braised ginger duck, tofu with minced meat and fried kangkong. Of course we also ordered the famous mustard veggies rice to go with the main dishes. We didn’t need to wait too long for the food to arrive. I must say the dishes all turned out to be pretty tasty. The ginger duck was tender with the right amount of ginger. The bak kut Teh was not too spicy. The kangkong was full of aroma and fried to perfection. The rice was good too. But I do wish if they could be a bit less salty as I felt thirsty after the meal. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal. I would come back to try other dishes...

It was a rainy Friday night and we have been stuck in traffic jam and we decided to take a little detour to this restaurant. Arrived at 8.10pm the restaurant wasn’t busy so we seated ourselves at the air-cond section. Waitress was friendly and our food was served within 10 minutes.
Pepper bak kut teh was delicious and warms our stomach on a cold day. Other then meat, it has some vegetables and deep fried tofu. The pickled vegetable rice 🍚 had got dried shrimps in it. It was tasty but too salty. I will order it again in my next visit and mix them up with 1 white rice 😊.
Price for Bak Kut Teh is RM14.50 per portion and the Vegetable rice is RM2.50 per bowl. There is 6% service tax charged for the bill.
I will definitely come back to try...
Read moreA group of six of us went yesterday for lunch and we definitely enjoyed it a lot. We ordered their famous white pepper bakkuk teh, I would think it was more like a peppery soup with spare ribs and others in instead of our usual bakkuk teh. We liked this dish a lot. The mah yau fish was okayish as nothing to shout about, the pickled mui choy pork belly was superb and we ordered a second one. The sweet sour pork trotter was bland as we didn’t really like it. The stir fried kangkung was good. We also ordered the salted egg long beans which was ordinary. We shall try salted egg bitter gourd next time. The Kai choy rice was delicious too. The parking is scares though. It was a good lunch and we are planning to go back to try other dishes in the near future. Didn’t manage to take any...
