Soru Station • Permaisuri — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

As a third-time visitor to Soru Station Permaisuri in Kuala Lumpur, I have to say this latest experience was incredibly disappointing — enough to make me not return again. On my first two visits, the food was decent and the service tolerable, but this time it felt like everything had fallen apart.

To start with, the food portion has noticeably shrunk. I ordered the grilled chicken chop, and it looked like it came from a lunchbox set for a kid — small, dry, and served with soggy fries. My partner had the carbonara, which was watery and bland, almost like it had been reheated from yesterday’s leftovers. At these prices, the value just isn’t there anymore.

The service was also a letdown. We waited over 30 minutes just for someone to take our order, and when we asked politely about the delay, the staff gave a half-hearted response and seemed annoyed. No smile, no apology, just poor attitude all around.

The environment was probably the worst part. The tables were sticky, the floor was dirty with food bits scattered around, and flies were constantly buzzing around. Music was loud and clashing with the noise of other customers — not the relaxing casual dining experience we were hoping for.

Honestly, this place has lost its charm. Three strikes and...

The food was delicious and worth the price albeit the chicken was a bit small. The service also quite fast eventhough it was full. However the service need a little improvement.

First of all, when I first arrived, i asked if there was any vacancy for table of one. The staff took a glance at the dining area and told me there was none. The staff did not asked me to wait or apologized and I felt like he tried to chase me away like I was some beggar.

After that, I walked myself around the shop and found out that there are a few empty seat and I sat there although at that point I felt unwanted. The tables were arranged quite closely with small room for the server to send food. At one point, I did not realize that my seat was in the path for the server to send food and move my seat closer to the table to make some room. He could've ask me to change seat or move to another table but instead I overheard him saying under his breath questioning why I was sitting there with a condescending tone. I tried to brush it off but still felt...

Spaghetti Bolognese with Meatballs tuh sauce cukup balance, ada acidity + tad bit sweetness. Daging x hanyir dan meatball sedap. Ada rasa cam daging ramlee sikit. Tapi portion spaghetti macam sikit abit la. Spaghetti cooked al-dente very nice.

Beef steaks sous vide is amazing! I think its medium rare, tapi lembut! Portion nampak sikit tapi actually in many pieces jugak. The mashed potato is good and creamy, well seasoned not too salty, the sauce is okay, black pepper sauce i believe with hinge of sourness. But the star of the plate is the smoked bell pepper 🫑 🌶️ was AMAZING! I'm guessing they only smoked it cause no charred sign on the pepper, SEDAP! My main ⭐ star of the plate honestly. The pepper truly balance the meat.

Good experience and honestly mula² saya skeptikal tapi sedap.
