First time ever experience at Taco Bell, an American francise. Due to covid restriction, made to queue for 5 mins, not too long waiting time. Once seats available, straight to the ordering counter at 12.50pm and made our orders for 2 pax. Our table was quite small and I also notised the floor space of the restaurant was smallish, compared to the other fast food operators. Time passed and I remember looking at my watch it was 1.30pm!!! Wow 40 mins of waiting time!!! Really impressive for a fast food operator!! Something is not right I said to my spouse. Went to the front counter and complained that my order has yet to arrive since 40 mins ago. Got an initial response that my order was mistaken as a different order number, #39 instead on #29. Ok I accepted it and went to my seat hoping it will be sorted out. Time passed and its now 1.40pm and I felt something is REALLY not right. Temperature was rising and I inquired gain now with the supervisor. Was told that my number was NOT in the ordering system!!! OMG what kind of business Taco Bell Malaysia is doing?? Such an established franchise but cannot solve these minor problems!! At that moment patience was razor thin. Demanded to see the manager in charged. A nice and calm manager listened attentively to my concern. He inquired with his staff and we found out that there was a blackhole and the manager was not informed. He apologized and made sure that my orders were prepared pronto. Thankful for a nice meal. Very tasty indeed. Thank you Taco Bell despite the unfortunate incident. The gift card was a nice...
Read moreA solid four-star Taco Bell experience, albeit not quite akin to its stateside counterpart, but a reasonable likeness. The independent store setting is appreciated over a mall location. On a Saturday evening, locating seating was hassle-free, and the restaurant exuded impeccable cleanliness. Opted for two taco supremes with nachos, including a guacamole supplement. Both tacos were satisfying, with a distinctive edge being the provision of hot sauce and fire sauce packets—Taco Bell's differentiating factor. Guacamole, though enjoyable with chips, fell slightly short as a taco accompaniment - there just wasn’t enough. The second order consisted of a kickin' chicken taco (somewhat rubbery, lacking kick, -1 point) and a flavorful soft beef taco. Staff demonstrated kindness and assistance, yet a disjointed ordering experience was apparent, with various placards and a curious chicken nugget promotion. (Though not in the traditional Taco Bell spirit, I hope it aids local chicken farmers who've lost government subsidies.) The unexpected perk of free Pepsi refills was appreciated upon inquiry. Overall, it's a once-a-year visit that satisfied my Taco Bell cravings. If a Taco Bell beckons in my 2024 proximity, I'd...
