Don't think i can find this place (Lrg Damai 6, KL) without waze. SSU Clubhouse with large field sits just outside border of golden triangle with very colonial ambience.
Restaurant is on the ground floor just as you step past the guardhouse. Interior is old styled with heavy punjabi accenting and pleasant. The bar with its array of upturned liquor bottles evokes memories of "days gone by era." A great nostalgic feeling.
Staffed mainly by young lads from Punjab. Ordered garlic naan & capati accompanied with mutton curry & lenthils vege. Food was really good and much to my liking.This eatery prides itself on Punjabi cooking at its best.
Family and ladies friendly place. Its open to public and accepts credit card for payment.

Read moreNice club with great ambience! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and always enjoyed it. However, I might not be a regular anymore due to the new rules for members and non-members.
It was quite disappointing to learn that non-members are not allowed to have a drink at The Lion’s Den or use the pool table. I understand the need for rules, but since we’re still paying customers when we buy drinks, it would be nice to have access to at least some of the facilities.
If the intention is to make this a members-only club, then perhaps it’s better to go fully private and stop allowing walk-in customers. That way, it’s clear we need to become members to enjoy the full experience.
Hope the management can reconsider this for a better...
Read moreNormally drop by for the sports field and events. Had on one occasion invited family for dinner at the restaurant... Food - needs much to improve on its taste and authencity of punjabi food. Food aesthetics need to be improved and more user friendly containers for hot food stuff. We getting boiled chicken and not so fresh veges Drinks - preety good and fresh but again as a club house restaurant , show some class on presentation. Ambience - Very pleasing and comfy, but need better singers or just play oldies on the system.... cause we need some less decible squaeking on the back ground. Parking - Sucks, memebers visitors are not allowed to pak in side even on a heavy down pour.....really... Overall love this place but just...
