points: Vibes was really nice. It was next to the DoubleTree pool and the lighting & space was great. Staff was friendly and super attentive

points: Service speed was a lil inconsistent. Some food came super fast and some took a really long time to come out. Not a show stopper but could be better for the price you pay.

Food review: (some without photos because the focus was on conversations and I forgot about the photos - Lol) We came in a huge group and tried quite a fair bit of their food. Most are good but not a huge wow. The focaccia bread was served complementary on the house. It was okay but the olive oil and balsamic vinegar - still a lil more to desire. Mozzarella cheese sticks - It was okay but some parts were cold. I presume they came frozen and were fried and served. And I imagined them to be crunchy and getting the stringy pull from mozzarella but it wasn't so. Crunchy yes, but that was it. Pizzas! We ordered quite a bit for pizzas. I think we had the margherita, arrabiata, Tosca and the 4 cheese thing (don't remember the name). Most are good but not none came out winning. One I particularly wanted to review was the arrabiata one. We were anticipating it but we could identify which or the 4 it was because - none had a hint of spicyness. Kinda a pity because I was looking forward to it. Bruschetta - price lil on the high side for 2 slices. I remember the description had something along the lines of garlic rubbed on bread with xxx toppings - can't recall it but I didn't taste the garlic. I love my bruschetta so this was a lil under my expectations. The salad that accompanied it was okay. Lol. I like salads so no comments there. Lobster bisque - flavour a lil too heavy. Not heavy from the cream but heavy from the seafood smell kinda heavy. You can taste the lobster flavour but it kinda seems like the shell has probably been sitting for awhile (like in a not so fresh kinda way) Or perhaps the broth was too thick - it tasted as if you are eating grounded lobster shell. It was okay on the creaminess level, lobster flavour not too great and a lil on the bitter side. I had one mouthful and didn't wanna go further. But it could be a personal preference kinda thing. Some found it okay. Mushroom risotto was great. I loved it but again probably a personal preference thing. I loved how it smelled really good (you could smell the heavenly smell of mushroom when they served it), was just the right amount of creaminess and you could taste the truffles oil blending in nicely with bits of cheese + saltiness from the parmesan. My friend however didn't like it because it was too heavy for her. Tiramisu - disappointing. Too much of cream. Flavours don't shine. Don't know where to start Panna Cotta - it was okay. Nothing to shout about. Have tasted better. Pasta is not handmade by the way. We asked the waitress and she said it's not handmade. I didn't try the pasta but our group had ordered it. From the empty plates, they are probably good :D

Overall an okay experience. 3.5 stars for the food and the remaining 0.5 stars for the vibes and especially the service. I must emphasize the staff was really friendly and great. I searched for the Best Italian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, and this came out as one of them. Highly rated, I decided to give it a try.

I would say this place is underrated. Nestled on the 10th floor of Hilton Double Tree Hotel at Intermark with very few signage, there seemed to be only a handful of guests.

I ordered pizza Margherita, Angus beef cheek with added potatoe truffle, wild mushroom veloute, and tiramisu to close it all off.

First came the complementary bread and 3 types of dip. I remember there was eggplant and olive oil with vinegar, but I think the green one was avocado butter, perhaps?

Just having the bread and condiments was already a testament to their high rating. The bread itself was nicely oiled with olive oil, and the cherry tomatoes were so good. You may find some pieces of rock salt for the added taste. Avocado butter was creamy, eggplant dip was tasty

Next, the pizza. Perfect. Thin but flavorful dough baked with tomato based sauce, cheese, and fresh oregano on top. Simple, delicious, and filling. It could use a little more olive oil, in my opinion, but it's more than good by itself.

The wild mushroom veloute, which is their zuppe, was surprisingly light and creamy. Not the usual heavy mushroom taste with 3-5 different types of mushrooms but more airy and fun.

The piece-de resistance was the Angus Beef Cheek with truffle potatoes. Instead of the usual Angus ribeye, I ordered this rarity. The meat was exquisite, exceptionally succulent, and good enough to cut through it with a fork. Seated on a bed of mashed potatoes with gravy, the additional custom order truffle potatoes accompanied the rich, savoury decadent flavour of the beef cheek. The meat melts in your mouth soft, and the size of the meat is just nice.

Last but not least was tiramisu, which, to my delight, does not use alcohol. In fact, none of the food prepared use any alcohol. Only served drinks, so the tiramisu is safe for Muslim consumption.

Tiramisu cream is encased in chocolate shell, while the sponge layer sits at the bottom of the chocolate shell. This is a must-have dessert for a perfect ending.

All in all, my experience at Tosca was a wonderful one. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food goes without saying, may not be the best, but it's surely in my top 3 list of great Italian restaurants in...

The service was the only thing that was redeemable because the waitress was a nice girl. But nice doesn’t fix bad food and bad atmosphere.

Firstly, the service was slow, which I understand can happen. However, a significant issue was with my order. I had specifically chosen the Bresaola pizza because it was listed with arugula, but it arrived with lettuce instead, without any prior notification of an arugula shortage. Had they inquired about my preference for a substitute, I would have been more understanding. The assumption that such a change wouldn’t matter was disappointing and came across as discourteous.

Regarding the atmosphere, as someone susceptible to heat stroke, I found the restaurant's open-concept design ill-suited for Malaysia's hot and humid climate. It was uncomfortably warm inside. Therefore, I would advise those sensitive to heat to consider other options, as the atmosphere might not be conducive to your comfort.

P.S. Upon further investigation, I discovered that many of their reviews on Tripadvisor appear to be generated by bots. This revelation of apparent dishonesty is a big NO-NO for me, and I will not...
