Mee Tarik Orient is my bffs go to when in need to slurp on a big bowl of beef broth. It works like a charm everytime! The noodles are handmade fresh daily and we've tried the beef noodle soup (we simply live for this with spoonfuls of the chilli oil condiment), the chicken noodle, the black fungus noodle, the lamb satay, chicken wings and mutton on bamboo skewers. All the above we give the yums up although sometimes the fried noodles can come off too oily.

Drinks have always been the hot rose, fruit or chrysanthemum tea. Perfect accompaniment. Free drinks are provided in the form of plain water, hot tea or rose syrup water. Ice available if diners prefer drinks cold.

The place is relatively busy, but can get quiet (depending on your visit hours) and clean. Service timing depends largely on the crowd in the eatery. Servers can sometimes be slow and sluggish...

Subject: Complaint Regarding Service at Your Restaurant

Dear Owner of Mee Tarik,

I would like to bring to your attention a very disappointing experience I had at your restaurant today.

I placed two orders:

One for takeaway

One for someone dining in the restaurant

However, your staff wrongly packed all the food for takeaway. As a result, the person who was supposed to eat at the restaurant was left without food.

This mistake caused me unnecessary inconvenience and extra expense, as I had to order Grab to deliver food from home back to the restaurant.

As a paying customer, I expect proper service and attention to detail. I kindly request that you look into this matter seriously to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future.

You got to talk to...

If you have been to China, you would know how original the taste they offer here. Though now the taste get a slight different, but you could still taste is originality. All are freshly made after you order. You may drink for free if you want to have tea, rose and water.

Ba bao cha is the best health tea drink they offer. But unluckily yesterday I noticed that they don't offer it anymore as they cannot get the supply from China. They may make it for you as I insisted to have one but they made it using the ingredients bought in Malaysia. The taste is so much less tastier than the original. So if you want to have it, ask whether they can offer this drink with the original...

One of local favorite. + I always order their standard noodle soup, taste ok je but its nice in the tummy especially during rainy days. + Lamb kebab taste amazing! + Price ok (update: price increased a bit) + Quick service + Free teh o, water, & sirap rose. Free sirap rose taste amazing. Reminds me of Marjan Sirup in Indonesia. - the noodle not as fresh as before. Looks like they are using ready made noodle. Taste waaay less superior compared to the freshly made one, the noodle is breaking easily, not bouncy at all. So sad. But considering the quick service and the price, ok j lah.

Dapanjiā€ or ā€œda pan jiā€ (literally, ā€œbig plate chicken") is a dish from Xinjiang in northwest China. It originated with the Hui people and is a popular dish among Uyghurs. The ā€œbig plate chickenā€ consists of chicken (usually with most of its parts), bell peppers, potatoes, garlic ginger and onions in a spicy sauce, served over thick, hand-pulled noodles. ā€œAnother dish I will not forget is dapanji, or a ā€˜big plate of chicken’ that’s marinated and cooked whole in a delicious spicy sauce.
