Sun Thai (Chinese Muslim): A Flavorful Hit for the Office Lunch Bunch!
We had a fantastic company lunch at Sun Thai (Chinese Muslim) in Bandar Menjalara, with a group of 9. They offer set menus perfect for larger groups, and we opted for the 8-10pax option. It was a delicious spread that left everyone satisfied!
Standout Dishes:
The star of the show was definitely the steamed seabass with garlic lemon. This dish was packed with flavor – a perfect balance of spicy and sour that had everyone raving. It was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection.
Other Highlights:
Deep-fried fish with Thai sauce: Crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, this dish was a crowd-pleaser. The sweet and tangy Thai sauce was a great complement. Tom yum soup (red) mixed: A classic Thai dish, the tom yum soup was both flavorful and refreshing. They offered a mixed version that included seafood and vegetables.
Rounding Out the Feast:
The rest of the dishes were also delicious, including the omelette with minced shrimp, kailan with oyster sauce, fried shrimp with tamarind sauce, pad kra pao, pandan chicken, and mango sticky rice. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh and well-prepared.
Service and Ambiance:
The service at Sun Thai was fast and attentive. Their servers were friendly and helpful, making sure our large group was well taken care of. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Tips:
This place seems popular, so be sure to arrive early or you might end up on a waiting list.
Overall:
Sun Thai (Chinese Muslim) was a fantastic choice for our company lunch. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the ambience was perfect. Highly recommend this spot for a flavorful and satisfying Thai dining experience, especially for...
Read moreI've been meaning to try this place for a while now because it's quite near to my house but usually this area is quite packed with heavy car traffic finding parkings. Luckily, we came early a bit for early dinner and managed to find a parking spot.
I've researched this place and clearly the food is Thai food but most important for me is that it's halal and they have the official halal certificate. So that's a plus for any muslim people to come here and enjoy the Thai food too.
I ordered the pad kra Pao beef and the wife ordered tom yam noodles with chicken meatballs. Together with pandan drink and coconut water.
The food was superb, tasty and full of Thai flavors like you can imagine. The drinks were cold and fresh as well. The place was vibrant, full of people and the staff were friendly in greeting you when you come in. And the staff were efficient in their service. We didn't have to wait long for the food.
Overall, it was a nice experience eating here. Everything was great. We will definitely come here again but we'll try the white rice with many main dishes to accompany the rice. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to eat Thai food. And especially for any Muslims reading my review, you can definitely eat here as it has the halal cert hanging on their wall. You can see my shared pictures here on food and the vibe of...
Read moreAlways passed by this brightly coloured place that struck my curiosity and decided to give it a try this time. Was a bit skeptical at first, as it is a halal restaurant amongst all the hundreds of non-halal eateries in the area. The place was packed with office staff on a weekday afternoon and the crowds were all pretty loud. Service was good and the atmosphere was super lively.
We ordered the chicken pakrapao lunch set. It came with a cup of milk tea that was pretty refreshing but slightly on the sweet side. They also gave a bowl of Tom Yum soup that was a light broth that wasn’t too strong nor too spicy, but also on the sweeter side. The chicken pakrapao was very flavourful and the serving size was generous.
We also ordered the seafood padthai, which came in quite a huge helping as well. The pad thai tasted nice and authentic and the seafood was fresh. We even requested for extra peanuts and they gave a generous bowl of it 😆.
Overall, this place exceeded my expectations with their food. The food that we had was tasty and quite authentic, surpassing most of the other Thai chain outlets in Klang Valley. Will come here again for sure to try their other stuff. Besides that, I find it quite charming that they sell local Thai toys and trinkets near...
