WHAT is the most important element in a bowl of pork noodles? Some might say the broth while others point to the “spare parts”. Those that do not like internal organs will mentioned the minced meat, pork ball, pork slices... and the hardcore ones will add pork lards.

I have come to know Tanjung Satu ever since my ex-girlfriend (now wife) who happened to be Menjalara girl for a period of time.. brought me here! If I am not mistaken, the famous Siew Kei used to operate from Tanjung Satu before moving out on their own. Oh well... new tenant came in and the pork noodle was quite good too, as tasted by yours truly one morning when I was in that area.

Menjalara area houses quite a number of pork noodle establishments - think original Siew Kei (which I still go back from time to time) & Mr J Kitchen (few doors away from Tanjung Satu).

▪️just order your choice of pork noodle - soup or dry, type of noodle, with or without spare parts (internal organs in case you’re wondering). ▪️the bowl arrived with murky soup, indicating sweetness and full-of-flavour tummy warming broth. Chinese lettuce made up all the greens intake you need with the meats! ▪️do not forget to ask for more pork lard if you are as hardcore as me.. lol! Oh yes... egg at extra charges too!

If you love eating pork noodle in the comfortably, you have to come early in the morning to enjoy the morning breeze in the alfresco style.. inside the restaurant can get too hot while it will be hot & stuffy...

28/11 was enticed by Kai Ma's big basin of cockles so ordered her kari mee. Did not disappoint. See my photos...yum.

Must try the Fried Koay Teow/Char Koay Teow. Havent found such a good one for a long long time. Fresh See Hum / cockles. Ask for sang hum/raw cockles if you dare and dont forget to ask for duck egg as well. Id give em a 9/10. Oh... you can also ask for a KETO version of CKT.

One of the best kopi & teh in the area. Esp if its done by the old boss himself. Our fav wud be the Pork Noodles... the liver or kidney done medium well, just the way we like it. Must also give the prawn noodle a shot. Broth flavorful and you seldom come across a chef so meticulously prepare a bowl of noodle in a...

Worst Service ever, ordered 2-pcs of bread and egg. Finished main course yet waiting to be served. Ask if the bread coming, the waiter turn away and ask her colleague come and yell in front of me with unknown language and walk away leave us blank. We then ask second time, is the bread preparing. She shouting again to her colleague and no update. Short while later egg and bread is served. But the egg is raw, which usually is served medium rare. She then took the egg out of surprise to cook for us and served in “decent” doneness.

When dining, is not peak hours. Not expecting 5-star service as just a kopitiam. Well, general feedback of staff...

Visited this place for breakfast on a weekday, and as it was still early, there were ample paid street parking spots available. However, the seating area inside was uncomfortably hot and noisy due to the echo. The kopitiam appeared dated and lacked cleanliness. The Curry Noodle (RM9.50) was disappointingly bland and lacked aroma, while the Wantan Mee (RM9.00) was mediocre and rather dry. On the other hand, the Char Kuew Teow (RM8.00) was relatively better. Overall, the food was just average, and the overall environment left much to be desired.
