WORSE CAFE EXP EVER! I do NOT recommend. The staff attitude & speed of service/food is terrible. RUDE.

The waiter who served us, clearly hates his job and almost throws the menu on the table. Doesnt say a word or smile at all. Looks only at the ground. Throughout the night, it's as if he wish we were not there. We tried smiling, kept saying pls & tq.

Nvm lah, no big deal right. When we went to pay, i tap my card and got an sms receipt from MBB. The cashier said they didnt get anything, tap again miss. I was confused but im not paying another rm50 for mediocre food & spiteful service.

He stares blankly at me, says 'it happens, just tap again'. I show him my receipt. he says ntg he can do, just tap my card agn is usual practice. He cannot be bothered to even speak nicely with human decency at this point. He stares at me blankly even more. I tell him im not tapping again when i have a receipt. Continue staring. Akward silence.

So my fiance and I called MBB, the customer service checks, he assures me the transaction already went through & suggests that cafe card receiver might have issue or their bank end. So i tell the cashier & i offer to send him the receipt. He stares agn. We suggest maybe they could check with their bank. He pulls a colleagues, she stares and say ntg they can do. They refuse to check on their end. This whole time, rude attitude btw. Tone of voice was HOSTILE.

This whole drama felt like forever and it took 40mins to settle. I left my phone no in the end. No apologies, no solution offered, No empathy, they were just so hostile. We ended up missing the last ktm cause of this. My fiance had to take the lrt then switch to grab. he reached home at abt 1AM with work coming up the next day.

Only after we left, the waiter contacts me through wsapp. Then finally AN apology for the matter, chases me for pay. Only when want money, they can send smile emoji and sorry emoji. I paid again in the end. I cannot deal. I've sent in the 1st & 2nd receipt as proof.

I understand these card things happens. But u dont have to be so hostile with customers. I've never had such terrible treatment from f&b before. I will never come again & definitely will not recommend this place to anyone. BE WARE. I wonder how they stay open with such attitude.

all i can say when i went there after seeing all these good reviews, i am quite underwhelmed. i expected better.

ambience was okay though the music was a little too loud.

i ordered the pulled pork burger (RM17), warm tuna salad (RM19) and mentai fries (RM16).

pulled pork was pretty bland, definitely lacked spice and flavour. burger buns were nice.

warm tuna salad was alright, although the portion of salad was not worth its price. tuna wasn't very fresh either.

mentai fries were nothing too special but good portion, just mentai sauce and fries with bonito flakes.

complaints:

wanted to order their beef burger but they told me all their beef patties were sold out/out of stock :/

black sesame latte was unavailable as it was sold out, as well.

asked for a glass of water but got told that they can't give it to me because they're having 'SHORTAGE OF WATER' and baristas need the water to make the drinks on their menu. this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard from a café as i just saw them serving a whole bottle of water to the table next to me (i'm pretty sure that table were the owner of the café with their friends, saw them talking and managing orders with the kitchen crew)

if you don't have enough water, can't you just get more from the tap? no water dispenser to make your drinks, fine i understand. you can still use tap water and boil it. why, is it so hard to boil more water if the water runs out? how can you tell a customer that the café is short of water? what kind of excuse is that? this is not how you serve your customers.

won't be coming here again as i'm so disappointed in...

I got to know Man Man Cafe because of their good FB marketing strategy - it kept on appearing on my feed. As I like to bring the family for something new, we made our way to Bandar Menjalara Kepong.. not only I had to brave the traffic but also fought for available parking spot in this congested area.

This area used to be very popular for steamboat many years ago and then rejuvenated when development took place, thus reviving some of the long forgotten stretch of shophouses. In other words 咸鱼翻身.

A cafe specialized in burger, pasta and rice bowl to name a few, the items are mostly cafe style food. The interior had this earthy theme to it.

◾Mentai Fries RM16 was a popular choice for the young ones who walloped everything in seconds - too fungry I think. ◾Warm Tuna Salad RM19 was generous with the pan seared tuna and I appreciate the sesame and nori for that umami flavour while the sauce served separately. ◾Mushroom Soup RM8 was thick and creamy. ◾Karaage chicken don RM18 could easily fill the sonny's voracious appetite. ◾Grilled chicken taco was shared between the two princesses. ◾Flat white although good but not enough kick!

With so many eateries to choose from in this area, I found that their food was actually quite good and comforting. Good for those who seek for a short respite from the hot and stuffy...

Quaint little cafe tucked away at Menjalara food streets where parking is a nightmare. Do come off peak hours and avoid weekends if possible. Restaurant has a nice ambience, neat and clean. Staffs are friendly and efficient. We tried the pulled pork burger, crispy chicken burger, El Santo burger and a mushroom soup. We love all of the burgers we ordered. Delicious and freshly cooked without being too salty. The burger serving size is just right for a lady but may not suffice for a hungry man. LOL!! The chips were nicely and freshly fried. nice! However, it would have been good if the basics of pepper, chilli and ketchup are left on the table. We asked for it and was given small portions of it. The mushroom soup is very nice though a little under on salt, which can be easily remedied with a dash of salt. Love the mushroom soup. We also ordered a flat white. The coffee is very good. The cold drink Fizzy Passion Peach drink was refreshing and not too sweet. Perfect. Love it as well. The menu is pretty extensive ranging from rice, pasta, chops, waffles to some cakes. Definitely we will be back to try the rest of the items.
