Don’t advertise birthday treat if you don’t have intention to actually offer to your customers!
Booked a room for birthday celebration on 2nd April 2023. We came earlier to decorate the room and asked the staffs to refrigerate our birthday cake for later.
After we were done and made the payment, while we were flipping the table ads, only we saw the “20% birthday treat”. It was there the whole time without us realising! Then we asked the staffs how come we were not informed the whole time while we were dining for the past 2 hours? There were at least 3 different staffs walked in and out serving us food and even offered to take photos for birthday celebration! So we asked if we can be entitled and we were rejected!
The so called “manager” on that day, with a rude attitude asked us: “do not blame the staffs! You should notice yourself and see it from facebook! We can’t give you the discount!”
So what now? It’s customer’s fault not to “notice” the table ads? So it’s customer’s duty to flip through your stacks of table ads? So it’s our loss if we never “notice” the birthday treat?? Why can’t your staffs kindly inform us there is such promo to us while we were dining there the whole time? There is only one reason: you do not have the intention to give customer the discount! Then don’t even advertise at all! I have never been to any restaurant without being informed if there is such promotion.
It’s not about the 20% discount that we didn’t receive, it’s your attitude towards customer and failure in handling such dispute. Instead of offering solution to win back your customer, you just shut your regular customers off. It’s a great disappointment and we will make sure people that we know do not visit your restaurant...
Read moreFirst and last time ever. Was here for a birthday celebration. After placing our orders, we waited forever for our food to arrive. After an hour of waiting, the waiter informed us that their system is down and that it might take longer for the food to arrive. Even if your system just went down, shouldn't your kitchen have already received the order from an hour ago and started cooking the food?
In the end, we waited for close to 2 hrs for our food to arrive. We were so hungry, and yet no compensation or free snacks or drinks were served to show their sincerity.
When they finally started serving our food, they missed out a few orders and side dishes, and we had to remind them MULTIPLE times - up to 5, 6 times even, just to finally get our complete order. By the time the last person's order arrived, the first person is long done with their meal.
Price was quite steep too. My unagi tamago don cost about RM35. Taste was just average. Comparable to cheaper Japanese restaurants like Sushi Zanmai.
Overall, for the food and price, the service was horrible and it's truly a nightmare to wait 2 hours for your food to serve, and the cherry on top was that they kept missing orders and had to be reminded multiple times. No compensation or freebies offered during the extended waiting time, so those of us with...
Read more4 stars for staff’s friendly attitude. 1 star deduction was being overly ‘promoted’ to order specialty for drink to entitle Rm10 voucher. Rejected on the spot, however staff gave the voucher anyway.
Food is at high side but that is fine as long as quality is on par. BUT, the price vs quality isn’t justifiable. I’d definitely pay for Sakura or Yuzi for the quality but not this restaurant.
Agree with the ‘dressing rating’. In fact this restaurant deserves 5 stars for attentive staff, 4 stars for quality but 1 star for price. Imagine Rm6 for Cold served Tamago, thou rice and seaweed are of better quality but egg omelette is not as good as I could make.
Salmon Belly is nothing wrong, but again, against the price compare to its quality. Same as other nigiri.
Not bother to snap photo. Nothing is able to lure my desire to snap, except the attached photo for “5stars”.
Next visit? Unless, quality improved on par with price, or, price slashed to fit the quality. Otherwise…I can only:-
Wish the restaurant all the best with long term business prosperity, and wish all staff are healthy...
