Dropped by Putien Pavilion Bukit Jalil for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised by how much heart went into the food. I ordered their Mazu Mee Sua, Braised Bean Curd with Chinese Cabbage Soup, Shredded Pork with Sesame Bun, and they arrived like a quiet masterpiece, the noodles, came in creamy white broth, delicately layered with shrimp, clams, snow peas, mushrooms, scrambled egg, and seaweed. What stood out most was the balance, rich but not heavy, nourishing without being bland. The dipping sauce on the side added a punchy contrast with chili and herbs, elevating the seafood beautifully. It reminded me of the kind of comfort food you crave after a long day, but with the refinement of a kitchen that respects its craft. Service was efficient, ambiance relaxed, and the overall experience felt like a quiet nod to tradition with a modern touch. Will definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

For me this brand have always been good, authentic and unique since I first tried it in 1Utama. Standards have not changed and they continue to serve dishes that are not available in most Chinese restaurants. From the Yam Ball, Braised Tofu, Braised Spinach, Seasonal Oyster dishes, Sweet and Sour Pork, Heng Hua Noodles. They all live up to their expectations. The only 1 dish I felt that was normal was unfortunately the Sweet and Sour Pork. It's good but nothing great. You will notice this in all the dishes, you can tell the flavours are natural and there's no presence of MSG even you try to look for it. Usually made with good stock that brings out the umaminess. Overall a good place for family or friends gathering. Only thing is can be quite pricey depending on the type of dishes. But then again, it's justifiable for it's quality and uniqueness.

I can't appreciate the hype that this placs gets. Long queues all the time but food is just so-so and with a hefty price tag. We had the: 1. Lychee gu lou yok - meat batter is not crispy enough, lychee just makes it a bit too sweet. Overall sweet and sour balance is not there. 2. Deep fried crispy chicken - chicken is tasteless, marinate didn't go through to the meat. 3. Honey yam - probably the only good dish of the night as it's sweet and crispy 4. Pork with sesame bun - way too much onions, sesame bun just tastes average, though pork itself was quite good. 5. Beancurd with kailan - just average fried vegetables topped with some fuzhuk. Service was reasonable, staff are polite too. Most of the drinks are extremely expensive and honestly not worth it.

Dine in 9/2 for CNY reunion dinner, 4pax, 7-course set meal.

We reserved table for 7.30pm, we arrived 5min earlier, got seated but it took them 30mins to serve the first dish - Yee Sang.

Took them 30mins in between to served our 2nd dish. Dishes serving sequence is a mess. Our 2nd dish came last and other dishes just all out in one go until the table can't fit. Dessert which is a simple lemongrass jelly (also changed last minute from original menu) took 20mins to serve and it's near to closing time.

Tables who ordered the same set and arrived later than us got their 3rd dish served while our 1st dish just arrived and had overall better service too.

We spent 2hrs in the restaurant but more than half the time is to wait for the food and asking the front desk where is our food?

Complained to the front desk staff but she pushes the blame to kitchen. How can it all be kitchen's fault when the other tables who got in late and ordered the same thing got better service?

You do not deserve the Michelin Star. 0-star for the service. This is the worst Putien branch...

This outlet takes the cake for the worst Putien experience we had. We dined here as a couple with a toddler. Chose this place as our past experience dining with Putien have been great, especially with our toddler. Food is usually quick, child is taken cared of, children’s cutleries were usually served without our prompting. So when this outlet not only did not delivered the usual expected experience, we were disappointed. To make it worst, they served our dish to another table which resulted in even longer waiting time. When we checked, they just told us that they’re rushing for our dish already. In addition, it was 2pm when we entered the shop. There were only two other occupied tables with plenty of waiting staffs. We dined from 2pm-3pm (would have been faster if not for the extra unnecessary waiting time). Based on our experience at other Putien, we expect better communication and service from Putien, hope they can keep up with their branding...

I visited this restaurant last night and had an incredibly disappointing experience. We arrived before 9:30 PM and ordered three dishes. However, before we had even started eating the first dish, a waiter came over with a card reader and asked if we wanted to make a final order while simultaneously requesting payment. This was shocking and completely unexpected. We hadn't even had the chance to enjoy our meal, and yet we were pressured to pay and hurry up because they were closing.

This treatment felt extremely disrespectful and insulting. It was clear that the restaurant's priority was simply to maximize their revenue without any regard for customer service or satisfaction. I expected much more from a Michelin-starred establishment. This experience has made me question the standard of service that this restaurant claims to uphold. I do not recommend dining here if you value a respectful and enjoyable...
