Thai Restaurant | Yad Yead Phod Cha Na — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Don't be fooled by the great food reviews as most of the promoted famous dishes as actually not available even though I asked before sitting down which they claimed to have all the menu dishes. I told them directly as the menu was given on the food that we wish to order but the seems to ignore us. I have tell a few times that I would like to order to the 2-3 staff in the restaurant that keep running in & out of the back area of the restaurant. That took 10 minutes of waiting before they kept coming back informing me one by one that the requested dish is not available. They said they are just opening for the day's business so most of the items not available / not prepared. I asked what time they open. They say 12 noon but it was 1.05pm at that time. I ordered pandan water also they informed have to wait for 1 hour coz not ready yet. Fyi, we were the only table patronising the entire time we were there. Question. Why open for business if the dishes ingredients not ready or available? They are buying most of the items from NSK which is open 24 hours & within walking distance from the restaurant as i was told. We end up ordering other dishes from the original dishes planned on trying. Really...

This is a great Thai restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that's not halal-certified. The chefs are real Thai people, and the food tastes delicious, especially if you're not originally from Thailand.

For people from Thailand, the flavors might be similar to what you'd find at everyday thai-street restaurant (อาหารตามสั่ง) back home. But for everyone else, the taste is authentic and very satisfying.

The restaurant has a nice, relaxing atmosphere, and the staff are friendly too. Even if there are occasional mistakes, they fix them quickly.

The only downsides are that the portion sizes might seem a bit small for the price, and the Thai milk tea wasn't quite what I hoped for.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place! It's a hidden gem in Kuchai Lama, even though there are lots of other Thai restaurants around. It's definitely worth a try!
