A terrible and horrible experience indeed. The price is not cheap at all, so don’t get cheated by their ‘less than RM200’ for perming promotion. They first agreed RM150 but in the end they ‘recommended’ you with RM300. I was fine with the price but I doubt if they permed my hair? The wave only lasted for a night! I texted the person the next day, sending her the photo. She asked me to come on the following day, so I did! The first thing the guy said (there were two hairstylist - one guy and one girl) said I messed up my hair so the wave is gone. I was like.. dude I didn’t even wash my hair so are you telling me it was the way I slept that messed it up.. this time, they finally used the perming machine, thank God! They asked for another RM50 for hair wash, no way! So what are you trying to do? Mess up the first time so people will come back and charge them RM50? C’mon guys, my time is more precious.... oh yea the funny thing about this saloon, I didn’t see customers during my visits (oh yea there was 1 for haircut on my first visit) and zero customers for 3 hours on the 25th 🤷🏻‍♀️ The worst, she sent me the photo of another girl telling me this supposed to be my ‘wave’. C’mon girl, you took my photo the first time you did my hair, why didn’t you send that photo instead? Well well well just a word to describe this - SCAM! 🤦🏻‍♀️

UPDATES: (1) I was satisfied after the perm (see photo below - right after). My mom (as she always does hair perming etc) was obviously dissatisfied as she said this perm wouldn’t last long and will deform soon. She asked me to clarify with you but I insisted not as I still saw the waves when I reached home after dinner (also see photo below). However, I was completely disappointed the next day when I woke up (before doing anything) as everything has deformed - and too soon. I will stop here as I’m not a professional neither my mom is vs you guys the professional hairstylists. We will let the users see the photos and judge themselves.

(2) second perm - after chemical treatment means hair wash? Just to clarify as you did not say anything and what I knew you just washed my hair. My experiences in Number 76 - they will tell me the treatment and talk to me about the products - but you were silent 🤷🏻‍♀️ sorry for not giving you the credit then.

RM50 for the hair wash - it would be fine if you apologised and mentioned it before the second perm. Mom told me, number 76 once failed her perm as well, but the hairstylist was so professional to apologise (and offered drinks) and told her RM50 would be charged for hair wash. She paid (even more plus tips) and was happy. So attitude matters. Professionalism matters. You shouldn’t challenge us by saying .. up to you if you wanna pay. Since you said so, challenge accepted and we just walked away. In a service industry, you need to learn how to serve right and wise. It will make things easier. No point ‘begging’ for good review if you don’t deserve it right?

(3) to clarify on the machine - first time NO MACHINE and only BIG ROLLER. Second time, machine with small roller. So please be honest.

(4) you called but I was in overseas and just came back today. Too expensive to pick up the call but do acknowledge your effort to mend this.

(5) about the scam - apologise for the bad language. It’s indeed lack of wisdom. Thanks for not welcoming me again. If not because of recommendation, I wouldn’t try out a new saloon. Very disappointed experience but don’t worry, as a VC professional, I wouldn’t give up trying new stuff and finding opportunities just because of this experience.

I did a korean air wave perm in this place about a month ago. Been leaving the reviews off until now as I did not like my hair immediately. However, after a month of perfecting my drying hair skills, I have to say I really like my hair now. The perm gave my hair much more volume and it also looks much better than my dull straight hair. Although, as good as it is, do not expect your hair to turn out like the air wave perm pictures that you see online. Those perms can only be achieved by blow dry from the salon. To paint you a more realistic picture, the curls on my hair looks as if it's been tied up in a bun the whole day. So it's still nice, just not that airy wavy volumous hair that you see on advertisements.

Now why do i give it a 4 star instead of a 5?

1. the male owner Jeremy I think, is really really really rough. It was an absolute torture the entire time that he was washing my hair. My hair was practically yank of my head. When he blows dry my hair, he leaves the hair dryer at one place for a long time and it really hurts my skin due to the heat. But he is good at cutting my hair on the plus side.

2. they persuaded me to add rm 100 for highlights and another rm 100 for treatment to which I agreed to both. Unfortunately, I can't see the highlights at all. And the treatment was a waste of money. He literally just applied some treatment cream onto my hair with his hands whilst I was still lying on the chair with my head on the sink after he washed off the colour. I was then instructed to wait there with my head still on the sink for a 10 minutes. There was no steamer, and they did not even bother to apply the cream part by part on my hair. So I basically paid a whopping rm 100 just for his to apply some cream on my hair which took less than 30s and to be washed off 10 mins later.

This is my second visit and I must say I am so pleased and impressed with the professionalism and expertise of both Mint and Jeremy. I love fashion coloured hair and have bleached dry ‘coconut husk’ hair prior to visiting them. I didn’t think there was much hope for it since it’s the price to pay for bleaching but I was so surprised they could transform it into much healthier looking strands even with additional bleaching. Through their professionalism I found out my previous hairdresser was using some old tech product for bleaching (hence the fried hair). And I got so many compliments from my co workers and friends, even after the colour has faded. People actually think I kept changing hair colour. Best of all, their fashion colours are just so awesome I felt like a Marvel superhero exiting the salon. I took Mint’s advice to the T in maintaining my bleached hair which is super important and I think alot of people tend to neglect or understand and they were surprised with the integrity of my hair on this second visit. If you are a frequent salon go-er you will know it cost a kidney nowadays to just get your hair done with this type of results and this salon is so affordable you could have change for a cup of boba. I also love that the owners personally tend to you for hair wash and blow drying. Definitely will be back for more of their 5 star service and until then, need to go...
