Extremely poor service and quality of manicure provided

Me and my girlfriend so happened to be in Kuchai Lama and she needed her nails done, so we found Lu Yee on Google. We were initially so relieved as Lu Yee was the only shop which allowed walk ins on a Sunday, so we decided to give it a try.

Immediately after the nail polishing on 8 Sep 2024, she felt that it was very poorly done, the choice of colors were completely different from the photos we sent Lu Yee. the outcome and results were both very shoddy. it was the first time she had been so unhappy after a nail polishing session. She had planned to polish her nails as she is travelling to Bali this week and to Disneyland Shanghai next week. We should have known better when we saw that there weren't any other customers at their shop on a Sunday besides us.

It was so poorly done that my gf has lost confidence in their establishment because they did not use the 建构 while doing the nails, which is a very basic thing to do whereby every other nail salon would know how to do to avoid the nails from breaking. The nails broke because of the negligence on the part of the establishment and she is currently experiencing a lot of pain. She did not even conduct any household chores or carry any heavy equipment, but the nails just simply broke, simply because the quality of service provided by this establishment is below par.

For me, as a guy, even I am quite shocked at the end result. it was very poorly done by their staff, Penny. During the process, my girlfriend's hands were also almost scalded by the UV machine in which she was asked to put her hands inside the machine for the polishing. Penny barely spoke to my girlfriend during the process, did not provide any feedback or comments about the color shades, did not even ask my girlfriend whether the work was up to her liking and satisfaction, and simply just carried on doing.

We texted Lu Yee regarding our predicament, and requested for a refund. Lu Yee instead offered a redo but but my gf had no time to go over again she stays in Kuala Selangor. My girlfriend has been to countless nail polishing sessions, this has been the only negative experience she has ever had. The nails can’t even sustain daily movement. Nails on both hands have started to crack

Eventually, Lu Yee has blocked me on WhatsApp. Extremely careless and unprofessional on their part. Nothing they say or do would make us take down this...

This is my first experience of manicure and the experience is very very bad. I saw their cny promotion on fb show “Gel nail + CNY nail art” at RM68 and I booked them for manicure, they told me they will have extra charge for RM10 because of CNY, I’m okay with it. Then I scroll through their fb photo and choose the pattern that I want, when I show the boss, the boss gv me sample and ask me choose the colour from there as she say the colour from photo might be difference, but I can’t find the colour. When it is my turn, her staff asked me again and I show the photo to the staff again. The staff said this is xxxxxx (I can’t understand her, I think she is not a Chinese) and insist ask me to choose a colour from their sample. Ok fine I gave up on that and choose a colour.

The whole process is not enjoyable at all!!! So painnnn!!! Bleeding somemore (one nail).. End up the result is just the same like I bought the nail colour myself and do it myself!!! OMG I paid total RM85 and get the result that I can do it my own!! When I make payment they even charge me EXTRA for the nail art (I asked for nail art on 2 fingers, and there is little bubble on the nail art...... what a skill..............)!!! Totally have a feeling that their fb promotion is misleading and scamming people.

They are so lucky, normally I won’t comment anything eventhough I don’t like the service, but this experience really made me super frustrated. First and the LAST time for this!

Please consider properly before make the booking as the one who serve you might not be the boss but her staff, you will need to try out your luck and see whether the staff has any skill. Besides, be ready for some extra hidden charges...

Experience and service provided by them are very horrible. It was my first time and will definitely be the last.

They promoted on a CNY promo RM68 for gel manicure, however they did not mention there’s a hidden fee of RM15 to clean the cuticle. If we do not clean, it will not last. So it’s a must to add on. Also, for a simple nail art, they took 1.5 hours to complete. They had a not so experienced staff to do it for me while the other experienced staffs or maybe including the boss were doing for themselves. Aren’t customers should be the priority? After 1.5 hours, the outcome had me speechless in the bad way.

As for booking, they collected RM50 to secure appointment and I’m fine with that. But after sending the bank in slip, they do not have the courtesy to acknowledge or confirm my appointment. Till 4 days later, I had to call them only I got a confirmation.
