The Record Speakeasy — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Came to this venue for an event. The event itself was well-organized and enjoyable. However, it was my first time at this bar, and unfortunately, it was also my last. The drinks were absolutely terrible.

The “bartender” on duty avoided eye contact and seemed completely uninterested in serving. I ordered two gin-based drinks, both of which were so watered down they were practically tasteless. Then it was announced that it was Ladies’ Night with complimentary gin and vodka-based drinks, but honestly, those were even worse. I ended up choosing to pay for my own drink rather than accept another pathetic “free” cocktail.

Note to the establishment: if you can’t offer decent drinks for Ladies’ Night, then don’t offer it at all! Even after several attempts to get the bartender’s attention (and it wasn’t even busy), I was handed one of the worst watered-down G&Ts I’ve ever had — and it cost nearly RM50 a glass.

Terrible experience overall. I will never visit this...

Came on a late Sat night and the place quite empty. We were asked to sit at the bar though many available seats around. The bar table and chair height is so weird, but whatever. Heard very good reviews for the cocktails and wanted to try, there was about 10 cocktails +- on the menu. But one of the cocktails we chose was n/a. The drinks were terrible, i dont know if it was just our drinks? Prob the worst cocktails I have had. Mariah Carey's song playing from an outdated playlist of sad melancholic songs. The bar is right under the AC in full blast. The handful of people there also left slowly. We dint stay too long and went to look for another place to chill for our Sat night sadly. Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The outlet manager severed us as he is a friend of mine. He’s very friendly and chill. Had no issues with the service. Music ⭐️⭐️ Personally not my style, it was more towards the old school RnB, early 2000 hip hop mix. I’m more into house, dance, electro, edm, trance, when it comes to bars and clubs. Environment ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not bad, I like the dim vibe. It’s a bit small and inside, stairs is difficult to walk up and down. Aircond was blasting at me, they need a cover to redirect the airflow, chairs were okay, not comfortable but okay.
