The ambiance, music, and drinks are good, but the staff are very rude. If it is your first time at the place and you reserve a table, make sure you tell them until what time you plan on staying. I made a reservation for 6.30pm but at 8.50pm one of their staff told us that our table is only reserved till 9pm and that we need to leave as they were expecting another group of people. If they double booked the place, why do we need to move? And the guy didn’t even have the decency of apologizing for their mistake. Instead he kept arguing with me that I had reserved only till 9pm. He then told us that he will give us a different place but not a table, just some space to stand at the bar!
Regarding promotions: again, if it is your first time here, they expect the customers to know everything about their promotions. When we ordered our first round of cocktails, they never mentioned that there was a buy one free one promo till 9pm. Five minutes before 9 he asked us if he can bring the 2nd round out and we were like “huh? What 2nd round?” and he had the nerve to ask us why we didn’t read their Insta page to know about their promotions, and he rudely asked us how we even know about the place if we don’t follow them on insta!
Food: Okay so they order food from out as they don’t have their own kitchen. One of our food orders was getting delayed and the staff came back to us after 1 hour and told that he was gonna cancel the order – He was not asking IF he could cancel but rather he said he WAS gonna cancel the order.
And we do understand that you guys wanna clear the tables and make it look neat or whatever, but coming up to us and asking every 20 min if you can clear our plates, especially when you can clearly see that we are still eating, is rather annoying. Is it that you guys only had a total of 5 plates and needed it for another customer?
What I can say is, this is a nice place but seriously, TRAIN YOUR STAFF! Don’t assume customers know about your table reservation rules. Don’t assume we know about your promotions. DON’T BE RUDE. Don’t make your new customers...
Read moreWe came a little early because we just wanted some good drinks without the crowd. I've been here without reservations after 11 PM and because it was too packed, I left.
I found the staff not hospitable, everyone just stared when we entered. We also had a RM70 for RM100 voucher we got from Fave and obviously wanted to use it - they tried telling us that they don't want to accept it, that we're better off just spending on their happy hour (buy 1 free 1) promo. I argued back that we had already bought the voucher (why even put it on Fave if you don't want it there??), and they said okay. Everything went well after, the staff were better also after we settled down. I'm only bringing this up because why would you put your voucher place on Fave and then not want to accept it after??
The drinks were nice. Not the best, but was still very good. My friend was especially impressed with their tomyam cocktail. Music (at 8-9 PM) was great.
Would probably be back but only with a group of friends. I don't think it's a place I'd enjoy if it's...
Read moreArrived for the first time at Circa around 10:15. The ambience was nice as well as the entrance to the bar.
However, it was just a downhill experience from there.
Drinks came pleasantly fast but was too sweet. Felt like I was drinking a soft drink rather than a cocktail 5 minutes after the drinks came I was forced to pay immediately for drinks without ANY explanation ( We hadn’t taken more than 2 sips) The music was already loud at that point and only amplified by the small area of the bar when the owner ANNOYINGLY increases the volume even more making it impossible to have a conversation let alone hear yourself speak. Did not understand the need to make everyone else deaf. Icing on the cake was at 11PM, was told to leave by the servers as “reservation guests have arrived”. Was not even informed beforehand that we would need to leave at 11PM and there was NO reserve sign on the table. Ruined a night of celebration.
Horrible experience. First and last time...
