We heard that this place usually has long queues every day, so we came early for dinner on a rainy weekday to avoid waiting. Fortunately, they have a parking lot right next to the restaurant, making it easier to park, but as it’s open-air, it can be tricky getting in and out when it’s raining. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and well-ventilated with plenty of fans.
Here, you need to place your order before sitting down, which is fine, but when we arrived not long after they opened, it was raining heavily and there were no other customers yet. It would have been nice if they could have made an exception and let us sit first, especially as we had an elderly person with us.
The menu is only in Chinese with limited pictures, making it quite challenging for those who can’t read Chinese, like me. I can understand and speak Chinese perfectly but can’t read it, so I usually ask for recommendations. However, the lady taking orders kept insisting I read the menu when I asked for her suggestions. It would have been quicker and easier if she had just told me their signature dishes. I had read online that the lady taking orders could be quite rude, but while she wasn’t rude to us, she wasn’t very helpful or friendly either.
We ordered Sweet & Sour Tilapia Fish (RM38.00) and Curry Pork (RM18.00), which were both average. The Four Heavenly Kings (stir-fried mixed vegetables) (RM18.00), Hot Plate Tofu (RM15.00), and Stir-Fried Garlic Green Beans (RM15.00) were all quite good. Rice is RM1.50 per portion, and tea is RM2.40. The prices are reasonable, and portion sizes are considered as small size in other restaurants.
The food arrived shortly after we ordered, and hot water is self-service. The condiments provided, such as garlic and cili padi, were fresh. Some staff wore aprons, face masks, and head coverings, but some didn’t. It would be better if all staff followed the same hygiene practices. Will consider returning to try other dishes if the waiting time...
Read moreVisited this restaurant over the weekend with a group of 8. We ordered 5 small-sized dishes: i) Marmite chicken cubes had a sweet flavour, though it didn’t quite resemble the marmite taste we expected [RM20], ii) Sizzling tofu was mild and light on toppings [RM15], iii) Mantis prawn was decent [RM25], iv) Two vegetable dishes were satisfactory [RM10 each].
Even with small portions in mind, the servings felt a little more modest than expected. A few of us didn’t get to try every dish—some only managed a spoonful of gravy or a single bite. It might be worth considering medium sizes for larger groups.
The rice portion labelled ‘大’ was still on the smaller side, so everyone ended up needing their own bowl [RM1.50 x 8]. Chinese tea is charged per person, so if not everyone drinks tea, it’s helpful to let the 姐姐 know in advance—otherwise, the charge applies to the full headcount [RM1.50 x 8]. Water refills were self-service.
Parking is available on both sides (left smaller, right bigger), may take a few rounds to find a spot. Orders are placed at the main entrance with the 姐姐, who will assign you a table; ours was arranged on the spot.
There’s Service Tax SST @6% which is charged separately [RM6.51].
We ordered slightly more than our usual (an extra vegetable dish) to get a fair sense of the value. If the portion sizes and pricing had aligned more closely with what we typically enjoy elsewhere, we’d be happy to return regularly. Still, it was good to have tried it once and experience the setup firsthand.

Went for dinner at Mid Autumn Festival, the place is 85% full and occupied...
easy to disembark for wheelchair patron, as the waiting area or front part is flat area.
Car park space was ample and easy to maneuver, 1 round around the restaurant
The gem for tonight's dinner was the:
Sweet & Sour Sliced Tilipia (9/10) nicely sliced and deep-fried to precisely cook and fry it with sweet & sour gravy, gravy not too thick or rich in ketchup only, perfectly balanced, so really enjoyed this dish
Marmite Chicken Diced Breast Meat (7.5/10) deboned chicken breast meat , diced up and cook with marmite sauce, marmite sauce could be better and thicker but still enjoyable
Kung Po Mantis Shrimp Meat (6/10) Kung Po sauce not those nostalgic type with vinegar, a bit sourish and fry with some carrot & ginger, still acceptable
Shrimp Omelette (8.5/10) egg fried to perfection, just plain simple shrimp and egg omelette , simplicity at the best
Claypot Tofu (7/10) Tofu is soft, just the gravy lacking for my personal preferences, somehow it's consider good taste
price ? Worth it and definitely won't burn your wallet l, around RM 130 for all this dishes with 5 rice and Tea & Ice
Will I return?
Verdict: YES, DEFINITELY !!! will try other dishes...
