The atmosphere & environment is very comfortable at this restaurant, giving off a modern & cozy Italian restaurant feel.
Service is fast and good.
This restaurant seems to have a wide selection of alcohol, but we didn’t drink during our visit so cannot comment on that.
As for food, my group felt dishes are hit or miss.
What we didn’t like: Caesar salad - this was a letdown to us, as the salad dressing was mayonnaise squeezed on the salad. We were expecting the dressing to be emulsified with egg yolk & including olive oil and lemon juice.
What we liked: Pork skewer dish - the pork skewer was yummy, though one person in our group comment that it could be fattier for juicier result. The accompanying salad was very refreshing (much more enjoyable than the Caesar).
Iberico pork neck - very yummy, and the chef came out and torched the dish, was quite a nice bonus if you’re here to impress your guests / date night.
Homemade coconut ice cream - we LOVED this a lot, and appreciate the restaurant for this complimentary dessert. We can taste there’s real coconut meat, and the sweetness so just right. It’s a delicious and guilt free dessert.
Side note for the chef / owner - I was asked how the pizza tasted — at the time I said I it was good, but I was a little caught off guard and didn’t properly formulate a thought at the time. I forgot the name of this particular pizza we ordered, but it was the one topped with prosciutto and bacon. I love how generously the pizza was topped with these meats, but in hindsight, I’d prefer if there were some greens (e.g. arugula) on top to balance the saltiness of the cured meats, and the crust I’d like it to be crunchier/ more baked.
Overall, my group is very happy to have found this restaurant in Melaka, a city we love a lot. Keep up...
Read moreThe first time we had dinner here, there weren't many customers and all our food from the mains to desserts (creme brulee and tiramisu) were impeccable! Simply delicious and heavenly! However food took quite some time to be served so be prepared to wait a bit.
The 2nd time we made the effort to have our Christmas dinner there simply because of our wonderful experience and memories we had previously. However it was quite a disappointment. The restaurant had more than their usual dinner crowd and they didn't have the manpower to manage. Our dinner took slightly more than an hour to arrive so we were starving and the food we ordered had some hiccups. The owner cum chef was there and kudos to him, he tried his best to make amends. We appreciate his efforts very much. The food and desserts didn't quite live up to our expectations although they were good. However the creme brulee were a bit too liquid below the burnt sugar layer.
For our first experience, we were more than happy to pay the above average price. But I would not say so for our 2nd experience there. We are very thankful to the owner from the bottom of our hearts for his efforts to make amends that night. Perhaps the best time to dine there will be outside of special occasions. I would have given all 5 stars if not for the marred 2nd experience.
We hope that the owner will continue to serve impeccable and delicious food and manage his manpower better during special occasions. We hope to be here again and have the same wonderful authentic Italian food experience again.
BTW I hope the owner can make the toilet experience...
