We kick off our dinner with a warm cup of the blue tea, follow by a crunchy mix flavor of achar timun (nyonya pickled cucumber) and kueh pai tee. Follow by, a warm dinner meal served with butterfly pea flower rice and exotic peranakan dishes, fried belacan sweet potato leaves, rendang mutton, gula Melaka chicken wing, tamarind fish, prawn with coconut milk and pineapple, and ayam ponteh( braised traditional baba nyonya chicken). The minute the Pai Tee came out we could tell the food was going to be just mediocre. The jiu hu car was not flavourful or fragrant as it was not fried with mushroom and dried shrimp. Definitely cannot recommend this place when the most basic dish cannot be done right.
The rendang and chicken were a disappointment too. All the dishes came out so quickly, barely 5 minutes upon ordering. Clearly the food it all repacked and reheated upon order, not freshly cooked. The food lacked fragrance and was so unappealing.
