Here’s my take after staying here 3 times a year.
Pros: -Decent looking bath towels -Spotlessly clean premium linen on a 5 star bed with two pillows each -Cold and powerful aircond -Strong shower water pressure (don’t point it at wrong side or whole bathroom flooded) -Parking all sides of the hotel building -Near 7-11 and food eateries
Cons: -No matter which room or floor you are allocated the surround sounds from road can be heard if you are a light sleeper beware (especially Saturday night Mat Rempit band👍🏻) Barely any toiletries given even minimal toilet paper, just use the tissue box if you run out You may find all kinds of stains on the carpet i’m not sure its ever been cleaned Peeling wall paper check in is super slow if you arrive anytime before 3pm you still need to wait for 3pm (that’s the standard answer- so how do you check in every guest at 3pm if all are told to come back at 3pm?)
I believe this hotel was initially built with a nice touch of luxury at affordable price. However, maintenance was poor and parts in the room start to show wear and tear- wall paper peeling, carpet and couch stains and peeling off, window latch missing hence noise from road is even louder, rain shower plaster ceiling falling apart, wardrobe door damaged.
House keeping standards have also dropped. I found an open pack of coffee before even trying to make a drink.
During my 3 visits the front counter staff have already been replaced 3 times. During my 2nd visit in December, my Agoda reservation was missing in their system apparently mixed up by their staff.
Would I stay here again? Yes, mainly for the bed. However, I would need to call and email to ensure my booking is confirmed before arriving.
Hopefully the owner of this hotel will take more care of it as its such a lovely hotel and...
Read morePros: We stayed in a King bed room (27m square, 291ft^2) for 1 night. The room is spacious, nice and cozy. We are satisfied with the room since there's not much problem with the facilities, e.g. the bed was very comfortable to sleep, and the air cond can function well. The room also come with water heater, basic toiletries, hotel slippers, electric kettle, coffee & tea, and mini refrigerator😍 (it depends on the room you choose). btw, we also noticed that they had prepared iron & ironing board at the corridor which was just beside our room! The night we stayed was also quiet, no noise outside the hotel. Another pro is the car park availability. As you can see in the pictures, there's actually a lot of parking spaces at the hotel, so no worries about the car park problem👍🏻 Good job, Grand Floral Hotel😊
Cons: Although I have a great experience staying at the hotel, but I think it is necessary to reflect the issues that I met in the room. First, the wardrobes & the toilet had weird foul smell 🤢 Second, the toilet door handle had been loosen & a bit difficult to lock the door. Third, the window handle had been broken too as you can see in the video. I hope these issues can be fixed so that the next batch of guests derive a pleasant experience from staying at the hotel room.
P.S. I wonder what is the purpose of the existence of that mysterious door close to the window?? We can't open it so we were worried about if someone can open the door from outside? Anyone knows...
Read moreThe room is nice but the sound insulation is bad, you can listen to the mat rempit motor noise during midnight.
But it was a very bad experience during the check-in, the door lock seems out of battery when we feedback to the receptionist, she said will get someone to change it, then we go back to our room and wait, there's a lady come and unlock with master card then ask us to go in first. We went out at 5pm then checked the door lock again, still not functioning and we gave feedback to the receptionist again, they said we will fix it.
When we came back around 11.45pm and went to our room, our card still couldn't unlock the door and the door lock battery didn't seem to have changed. Need to go down to the lobby again, they said supposed have changed but in the end the truth is, the battery is run out dy, meaning the team didn't change it and I have to wait until 12.15am only I can enter my room. While they were trying to fix it, the receptionist also said our room type is finished already, so we can't change our room. But the problem is all our stuff is in the room. Also, if I go out and need to enter the room, I need to ask them to open the door again.
This is so annoying and inconvenient. But then, still thanks to the 2 kind gentlemen helping us to solve this problem during midnight.
Overall, I will not be coming back to this...
